Have faith, the boys in Green are rounding into form again for a late season surge. Pierce seems to have his legs back, and is passing the ball better than he has in his career. Someone reminded Antoine where the low post is, and he occassionally finds it. And Vin Baker has improved from hideous to awful. Plus, Walter has turned from a cult 12th man into more than filling the role Rodney Rodgers held down the stretch last season. Back to San Antonio, Duncan is far and away the best pure basketball player currently in the game. However, until someone else on that team shows me they can hit a 15-18 foot jumper late in a close playoff game, I'll reserve judgement on the team as a whole. | DJ FrostyFreeze

...OR maybe Kobe will continue to score all the points until Shaq comes back, then slide back into "I can drop 40 on them if I WANT, but instead I choose to sit back and let Shaq lead the team" mode while Shaq drops his usual 30-40 points a game.

| #15 Posted on 20.2.03 1710.19 Reposted on: 20.2.10 1710.23 | I don't really follow basketball too much. I was as much of a Jordan fan as a Bulls fan until 96, I guess... but that was just me buying what NBC was selling. Before that, I wanted the Celtics and Pistons to beat L.A.
I think I'm more of an anti-Laker fan than anything else. I had a girlfriend in college who was really into Golden State, so I kinda followed them for a bit.
Lise and I will watch playoff basketball, but other than that I really only watch games like Sacramento / L.A. or this year the Yao / Shaq matchup.
I guess I'm a casual fan with no real affiliation. | DJ FrostyFreeze

I knew it was a pleasant dream that the Lakers may not make the playoffs. Alas, they will make a good run in the playoffs. I am still hoping for a Lakers/Celtics final just for old time sakes, but I don't think the Celtics can hold up their end of the bargain. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
