McMahon (I believe for the first time...and it was a cage match) and we saw the debut of Paul Wight in that match. Anyone have a feeling we might see something similar in Austin/Bishoff, only with Nathan Jones replacing Big Show?? Just a thought Promote this thread! | | haz

| #4 Posted on 12.2.03 1104.21 Reposted on: 12.2.10 1107.56 | If this idea was well thought out (well thought out/RAW, that's a good one), they could have built this up for a few months, which made the McMahon/Austin match something fans would watch, rather than throwing away Bischoff/Austin on the Austin return show. It'll end up in one of two ways: 1) Austin stunning Bischoff and then screaming What at him. 2) Austin and Bischoff embrace and state 'Screw You Vince McMahon', which would lead to the possible Austin/Catchphrase Match at Mania. Since #2 requires foresight and planning, it has to be eliminated. | oldschoolhero

I think that's the problem Vince is having right now. For us old timers (and Vince I suppose) this is truly surreal. But does the new fan have any reason to care? Maybe I'm being too judgemental, I'm hoping they have a good story for Austin when he comes back ... but recent history says not. The last few years they have thrown at us the NWO, WCW, etc, etc and hoped just their mere presence would sell it. When I try to put myself in the shoes of someone who is a relatively new fan or one that doesn't have any "inside" knowledge I think that they would be more confused then anything. The main reason Austin left was because he was upset with the direction his charecter was going. He didn't like having to fight Lesnar with no prior buildup. That said, I don't think he'd come back unless he was going to be used the right way and with good story lines.
This is the last chance for the Raw writers(for me anyway) If they screw up Stonecolds return I will be done with Raw for a long time. | senor sangre

After watching RAW this week, I think this has a pretty damn good chance of happening, thatks to JR bringing it up before he was canned. | #15 Posted on 13.2.03 0702.51 Reposted on: 13.2.10 0705.45 | I hope that it is the start of something big. One question on this part is who is the heel, and who is the good guy. Is Vince with Austin, or his Austin on his own. Also where does the Rock come into this, is he with Vince. I truely agree with the statement one guy put across about Stephanie. If she helps Bischoff and Bischoff and Stephanie become one and go against Vince and the Rock in a big feud, this will really make things interesting and only can increase the hype of things which have really been lacking in the WWE. As far as Nathan Jones is concerned i don't think he will appear yet, besides isn't he going to Smackdown isn't he. All i can say is that finally thinks look to be getting back on track and exciting (touch wood) just hope to see a shocker at NWO | It's False

Oh GOD! I was hoping Austin would come back and put on AWESOME matches and win "Comeback Wrestler of the Year" again just to spite everybody who said he's lost a step. But throw all that out the window if WWE gives him a feud with Big Lazy. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
