Make it like a bullrope match where you have to drag your opponent to all four corners, but instead you have to german suplex your opponent either into or out of all four corners. Maybe put special mat coverings in each corner where the shoulders have to hit (or, if going out of the corner, where the feet have to start). Might make for an interesting new concept, and one that's appropriate given the history of the two of them using German suplexes.
Then again, has there EVER been an entertaining bullrope match? There's just something about dragging your opponent to all four corners ... and all the endings usually seem the same too. Just thinking out loud, thought I'd share. Promote this thread! | | Gugs

I think Stan Hansen and Lex Luger had a decent bullrope match for the US title at Starrcade 1990. Sting and Vader had the best strap match ever at Superbrawl 3. Those are two of the only standouts IMHO. Although, I think Rock and HHH might've had a decent one at Fully Loaded 99, but sting and vader being the best.
I think it'd be a bad idea German suplexing someone INTO a corner. Its an interesting concept, but the rules would probably just make that type of match too confusing and it would be like that tag team title cage match at Unforgiven 2000 where the announcers are arguing about the rules during the match and have no idea what's going on. | InVerse

I know that Benoit has a lot more suplexes in his arsenal than he showcases on WWE TV and I'm sure Angle knows (or could quickly learn) several more as well. | fuelinjected

Seeing as using your opponent's finisher is all the rage in WWE these days, I'm still waiting for Angle to try Benoit's Flying Headbutt. | InVerse

I'm waiting for Benoit to pull out Angle's moonsault. | Spaceman Spiff

Um, I'm not too up for that idea. | Freeway

Hell, you're looking at probably the two best conditioned guys in pro wrestling today, and the two guys whose entire movesets involve suplexes and submissions. Heck, you could take ANY kind of match (Scaffold included) and they'd turn it into a five-star classic. | Spaceman Spiff

Now, if we're talking HHH vs. Nash, then I might be persuaded to give that match-up a chance in this kind of match ;) | redsoxnation

Scaffold might be pushing it. However, my pre-Rumble idea that Steiner/Trip should have been a scaffold match should make more sense now, as they might be the only type match where Steiner can just stand around long enough not to blow up. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
