I see no threads as I type this so I figure I'll start one.

Brock Lesnar versus Big Show
-Lesnar goes over strong in a decent little match. Big Show really looked hurting and out of shape.

Dudleyz versus Storm/Regal
-Dudleyz win the titles after D-Von uses the knux. It seems like Morley will reverse the decision on RAW. Decent match as Storm and Regal seemed really motivated. Dudleyz are the same old Dudleyz, not bad, just the same.

Dawn versus Torrie
-No heat at all. Torrie wins of course. BRUTAL match. Made me appreciate the RAW wrestling girls even more.

Steiner versus HHH
-Dreadful. Steiner wins via DQ. Steiner gassed out a few minutes in and didn't sell a thing the whole match. They had the crowd at the beginning and lost it. The crowd proceeded to shit on Steiner and the match. Not even HHH 2000 could make this thing good. Oh and the crowd got a kick out of Steiner's purple thong. Real manly, Steiner.

Angle vs Benoit
-Started with a dead crowd due to the previous piece of garbage but an EXCELLENT match won them over. Awesome reverals, great wrestling all around. Angle wins clean with a heel hook/ankle pick. Benoit got a standing ovation from the crowd afterwards. But I thought he could never get over without cutting good promos.

Rumble
-The first 3/4 was the greatest Rumble ever. Tons of great spots and great workers. Jericho eliminating Shawn right off the bat was good then Shawn returning to cost Jericho the match. The last 1/4 was filled with the big slugs. Brock wins as he should last eliminating The Undertaker.

Overall, I'd give the show a thumbs up. Angle-Benoit should be seen by all and the Rumble was really fun. Get the DVD, I suggest.

Well, I really enjoyed the show. I'm not sure how everyone is going to react to it, but most of the show was really fun.

Show-Lesnar: This was much better than I expected it to be, and the crowd heat was good. Not a great match, but a perfect opener.

Storm/Regal vs. Dudley Boys: Match was solid, but not great. I disagree with the finish, because Storm/Regal are being hyped as the "best tag team" by Jim Ross, yet they keep losing.

HHH vs. Steiner: This one would have been much better if it had been compacted into about 12 minutes. Steiner got a huge pop for his entrance, but by the end the fans had completely turned on the match. The DQ pissed them off, as well as the slow-as-hell match. This bordered on negative stars.

Benoit vs. Angle: This was every bit as good as I had hoped it would be. I loved that they went with the clean finish, and judging by the response Benoit got afterwards, maybe the WWE will realize that clean losses don't kill credibility. Upon first viewing I was thinking ****1/2ish, gonna have to watch this again.

Rumble: I enjoyed this one much more than last year's rumble. The pace was pretty good the whole time until the end. I question hyping taker's return only to have him eliminated, but the fans were happy to see him. They made a good call by putting Brock over. Now the slow build to Angle-Brock at Wrestlemania can begin. Sometimes, the most obvious choice is the best choice.

Overall, I would give it a 7.5/10.

Saw it, loved it. I was a bit disappointed that Undertaker didn't go back to the Phenom as they had hinted at, but he kinda made up for it by using the better version of his music.

*Test* of all people gets to eliminate Jericho? Test??? At least make it by someone who matters, like Lesnar or Taker. Especially since Kane, last seen tagging w/ RVD against 3MW, gets to be in the Final 4, along w/ Batista.

The ending of the tag title match confused me because it looked like Morley was going to reverse the decision but it never happened. That's why I think they're gonna do that tommorow on TV. Maybe not but it sure seemed that way.

Benoit/Angle was a perfect example of how someone can lose clean and still come out looking great.

Why you gotta be hating on Test? He may have been the guy who knocked Jericho out, but the real reason Jericho went out was because HBK distracted him. Which should lead to a nice vicious Jericho/HBK match real soon, so I can't get very exercised about it.

I hate on Test, because Test sucks (IMO).

I'm OK w/ the HBK interference -> Jericho's elimination -> match/feud.

But at least make his elimination come at the hands of someone who matters, not someone who is only over because of Stacy and the word "Testicles".

Test eliminating Jericho gives us a ready-made match at NWO, and a reason to hold off Jericho-v-Michaels until Wrestlemania.

The RR was great until 3MW appeared. It went downhill from there.

Test eliminating Jericho was cool because it sets up a fued.

Anyone notice that Team Angle eliminated both Booker T and Goldust?

Nowitski's not getting into the ring stuff was cool.

It felt like there were guys who should have been eliminated 5 or 10 minutes ago near the end.

HBK coming back really sucked.

The way they pushed Jericho during the RR was sweet.

Test vs. Jericho at No Way Out -- are people honestly suggesting this as a PPV match?

I'd have thought it would be more likely to see Test vs. Jericho as a rematch on RAW, with Jericho going over (or getting in position to win, only to be screwed by HBK again). This would somehow lead to a Jericho/HBK #1 contender's match at No Way Out, with the winner facing HHH at Wrestlemania.

Still, a great match, and a great Rumble. I think the Rumble was actually strengthened by the split. You got more storylines in there that you couldn't get otherwise (the first meeting of Matt & Jeff since Matt jumped to Smackdown was handled perfectly).

Random Rumble thoughts:
1) Jericho's entrance ruled. I don't know if it's possible for me to get tired of them substituting another Canadian with long blonde hair for Jericho. It worked when Edge returned from injury and did it, and it worked again with Christian coming out and setting up Jericho coming in from behind. For the record, I was behind Jericho the whole time, and was surprised that he and HBK weren't in the final four.

2) RVD is officially the Stupidest Man Alive. "Hello, tag partner who already said you'd turn on me first chance you had. Would you press me over your head in a perfect position to throw me anywhere you wanted? Thanks!"

3) Edge & Mysterio was also handled perfectly. The double handshake/kick-to-stomach exchange was brilliant. Likewise, it was nice to see that Edge & Christian's past hasn't been completely forgotten with Edge's push and Christian's limbo status.

The Rumble has always been my favorite PPV, and this year didn't disappoint. The Rumble itself was great, and I loved how they handled all of the "brothers" meeting again.
The other matches were all right, but Angle/Benoit was excellent, go figure. Two great performers having a great match. It definitely made up for the HHH/BPP match.
So how much do you think Lesnar is hurting right now, after F-5ing just about anyone he could get his hands on?

Very good Rumble. It was like a predictable movie, but done in a good way that you didn't care how predictable it was.

My markish friends didn't want to order it so I had to go to NYC.

My friend said it wasn't fair that Steiner walked right in and got a title shot without beating anyone. An undeserved title shot, but with his chance of hitting Triple H with head-dropping goodness, I'll look past it. Also, Steiner should watch how Brock rams his shoulder into the Big Show compared to Steiner nudging Triple H into the barricade.

Best thing about women's matches is you never know what th finisher is, could be a regular slam, at any time.

Surprised the Dudley's won because of D-Von's ugly pants. Val Venis should screw them tonight.

The Rumble itself was very good. A lot of great entrances, even Cena got some mike time. Quick exits for Booker T and Edge. I why people gave these guys a serious shot? I like Jericho kicking ass. I was rooting for RVD, but he made it further than I thought. The real Undertaker was replaced with the Biker Taker. He shouldn't have turned on Kane. Don't they know that if they worked together all these years, they could have like 8 title runs. Thumbs Up.

Saw the PPV last night, and a few musings from me...

-HHH's new trunks are HORRENDOUS! The first thing that came to mind when I saw them, "YOUUUU LOOOK SOOOOO....GOOD TO ME" That wasn't a compliment. What was even worse? Steiner's matching THONG!!!!! AAAAAAAHHHHH!

-As hard as HHH worked to make Steiner credible, Mr. Pump was slow, repetitive, and boring, kinda like Test, hee hee hee.... But HHH was slimmer, almost like he was a few years ago.

-Benoit and Angle was great, no complaints at all. Angle continues to make me feel really good. Especially with that leg scissors thing at the end. Oh, and I celebrated with Team Angle, and it made up for all the times I missed them.

-Torrie and Dawn? Well, I remember when Torrie said that Dawn was the last person in the world to wear white. Well, Torrie, you're the second to last. Remember Maven?

-The Rumble itself was good, but for me, not as fun as 2001. I did enjoy Jericho getting rid of the Has Been Kid, that was great, and psyching him out with Christian wearing Y2J's stuff, I cracked up. Also, Matt Hardy and his MFer trying real hard not to have Matt land on the floor was hilarious.

-Taker the biker? Okay.

-Brock winning? Fine by me.

They only pinned Storm because D-Von got the brass knuckles. It's not like it was a clean finish.
