That... but it's also the time (mid-December to mid-January) where you'll find rerun-o-rama on. WB is hyping the "Six Weeks" of new shows for most of their dramas; it'll be the same for the rest. You'll have the same lull right after Feb. sweeps until late April. | Bongo P. Michinoku

Well, I mostly meant advertising on the network itself. All I ever see when I tune in are ads for their monday night lineup of Fresh Prince/Family Matters knockoffs. | CRZ

What are you talking about? The first week of January was a rerun, the next week was a new episode and this week is a new episode. There was no drought of new Buffy episodes in December either, they had 2 new ones. UPN has really surprised me with the number of new episodes. They've shown about 13 eps now and a normal season has 22. If you want to blame someone, blame WB. They showed 7 new Angel episodes through part of November before deciding no more until 2003. Then they say 6 new episodes starting in January, which brings their total to 13 eps by the end of February before going back to reruns. How is the WB going to schedule the rest of the new Angel episodes? This is the same network that took off reruns completely so that they could inflate their yearly average ratings. Look at what they did with Felicity and Angel, and probably Dawson's Creek, but I wasn't paying attention. | Downtown Bookie

It's either this or DEMAND the return of American Gothic. Really, you should've watched Haunted.
Accordingo to Jim runs in dog years. Every episode is like 7 times the shit of a normal shitty show.
BTW, according to rumblings the Xand man and Marsters are up for a spinoff, while Willow is a big if. Just to make it an on topic post... If they hadn't KILLED the greatest nerd ever he'd make a PERFECT addition to the gang I say. But it looks like Andrew's a lock for a regular too.
The wacky Adventures of Dawn, Spike, and Xander. Would you watch? I think it could be good, though not as good as Faith's own series. I'm not sure what I think of Kennedy, though with her screen time compared to the others she's either the next Slayer or the next big death. | drjayphd

It was a half-hour comedy about a situation. So, yeah. It was a sitcom.

I thought they were setting up a Willow/Kennedy romance angle. Maybe I'm imagining things.

| #18 Posted on 22.1.03 0111.09 Reposted on: 22.1.10 0129.01 | The following post refers to events in the 1/21 Episode:
I would think that if they aren't setting up Willow/Kennedy then they've at least been working to establish that Kennedy is a lesbian. (Rena: "I like the feel of wood in my hands." Kennedy: "I don't get that." [or something to that effect]...)
Xander/Spike/Dawn wouldn't be a bad spinoff, although I think that if the show ends, Xander/Anya and Spike/Buffy should go off and have some sort of happy ending, which would dictate that they not be seen again, unless together (which the girls don't sound interested in).
And so much for Dawn being the next slayer. Granted, just because they didn't recognize her as a potential, it doesn't mean she can't be the next slayer. But if she was going to be the next slayer, why establish that she won't be?
(And while I know that Brendan is like twice Tracthenberg's age, does anyone else think given that ending scene, Dawn's prior crush on Xander, and Xander's "Daddy like" in the episode with the boy and the varsity jacket, that maybe they are setting up Xander/Dawn in the future. I mean, she's only seven years younger than him, which means that she'll be 25 when he's 33, which is workable, if you think about it... Of course, this assumes the show *has* a future)
And speaking of the future, given that Hannigan and Denisoff are now engaged, does this mean that Willow would be likely to jump to Angel, or is Wesley likely to leave? Not that marriage dictates a change in employment, but it could affect it.
And did anyone else notice we were one slayer short this week? Did she run off with Giles, or is this just an unforutunate instance of real life ruining weekly consistancy?

Actually, my roomate and I were totally calling for Xander to kiss her at the end. Not that it's something that we wanted to see, but that just seemed to be the pay off. They have this big loving emotional speech, and build to a pay off, which totally gave off one of those vibes.
By the way, I LOVED Xander's little speech at the end. His character's totally been waiting since "The Zeppo" to have somebody to tell that normal people can have a place in this crazy world too.
Random Thoughts:
Isn't Dawn essentially Buffy, making her, in effect, the Slayer too anyway?
The New Potential looks like Fred from Angel (who I love) only with a stretched out face.
Buffy's obviously very turned about concerning the Slayer lineage. If she dies, there wouldn't be a new Slayer called (as evidenced by her dying and no new Slayer being called). As long as Faith is still alive, the mini-Slayers have nothing to worry about.
The red-head's beanie disturbs me WAY more than the first evil.
It's nice seeing Andrew develop into something inciteful instead of the one not joke every week, even if the Scoobs can't appreciate him.
Weird editing that...
Anya is the most consistantly hillarious character on the show.
After I spent most of my evening yelling for each character to shut up (alot of the dialog tonight was awful), I still enjoyed the story they're trying to tell, which is one thing that almost all TV shows are missing these days.
CLEM~!
In further response to EddieBurkett:

I'm not sure. If Buffy goes, it's entirely possible that Aly makes the switch (although that REALLY depends on whether or not she believes she has any milage in her movie career). Though Angel is pretty full-up at this point (with seven full time cast members). I'd always kind of expected that they'd kill off Wes at some point, but who knows.
And did anyone else notice we were one slayer short this week? Did she run off with Giles, or is this just an unforutunate instance of real life ruining weekly consistancy?
I didn't notice. Are you sure you didn't count Eve (the "dead" mini-Slayer) in with the bunch?
The cast of characters as I recall it is:
The black mini-slayer The Red-head with the terrible hat Kennedy The British One Long Face Fred (new) With One on the Way.
There might be another one, but I'm not sure. But I don't remember any of them missing... | J. Kyle

I liked "Norm" before executives got a hold of it and sent it into a tailspin.
Xander/Anya happy ending=NOT gonna happen. The law of regulars death state that one regular MUST go. And head watcher guy doesn't count, so Anya is the one most likely standing in the cross hairs of the big dirt nap.
I think Xander and Spike should get a buddy cop show where they fight evil in Chicago under cover of being night-only construction workers. Just kidding. Maybe.
EDIT! Just saw this. Dark Horizons says Xander is the most likely jumper to Angel if no spinoff happens. I'd like to see EVIL Spike follow and have one last run with Dru if that happens. And kill Conner. Please Spike, kill Conner.
BTW Rest in Peace Gavin. The man got no respect!
