I've been trying to figure out what they're doing on Monday/Tuesday next week for the anniversary...and I still can't get it. I thought Tuesday was gonna be some sort of looking back, and now it's an award show at The World. Does anybody actually know, without turning this into an Austin/whoever rumor thread, what's really gonna happen next week? I know fans are allowed, so are the WWE guys gonna be backstage and then come out, or is it gonna be Slammy-esque and have tables with past and present stars there? All I've heard so far is rumor.

And is Monday just a regular show?

At this point it appears that Raw is live in CT next week, so I'm assuming it's a regular episode. SD is being taped Sunday night, so the guys can be at the Raw special on Tuesday.
From the little they've given us, it appears that they will show clips and recognize the most memorable Raw moment. They also promise "names from the past and present", but I'm not sure in what capacity. (perhaps to describe their own memorable moments?) The only former WWE personality that is confirmed to be there is Bobby Heenan. (Mean Gene confirmed this on Confidential) Other than that, who knows?
I'm still pretty pissed that Vince is making me choose between 24 and this...

I thought for sure that Ron Killings would be there as well, reprising the gimmick dipped in gold known as K-Kwik.

It'll be the 433rd Annual Slammy Awards. The big question is whether Vince will do another musical number like the one he did at the 39th Annual Slammy Awards.
We will need a Kill The Clown chant though.

I heard the show is only one hour, so they can't do much. They will probably give out a couple of awards and have one long Desire video featuring all the Raw moments. I just hope they bring back Man Mountain Rock to open the show by playing the Star Spangled Banner on his guitar.

If it's only one hour, then why make it an "award" type show. They could easily run an hour's worth of highlights over the last ten years instead. I guess WWE didn't want to be redundant with the show coming just two weeks after the "Best of 2002" show.

J.R. seemed to make it quite clear that it is an award show, and even announced several categories in which awards would be given out. There was enough categories that with clips, it would easily fill an hour.

Methinks that the winners will lean heavily toward the current product

Man, I normally don't stick my oar in on such petty subject matter...But if Chris Jericho doesn't win "Best RAW Entrance" for his debut in '99, then I will be PISSED.

why do i have a feeling that wwe saying the show is open to any former raw competitor may be equal to bischoff saying the last nitro was open to any and all former world champions? and the bigger question will damien demento be there?

TV Guide says that the Raw 10th Anniversary is an hour long. I think it should be 2 hours.

Something that I hope happens next week, Austin returns and says he'll be at the Royal Rumble.

I read somewhere that he said he will be their. Outside of Killings and Heenan, I haven't heard of anyone else showing up as of yet.

I welcome a return of the slammys.

Who do you think will run away with someone elses award this time? Goldust, Christian, Heyman, Steiner... the list is endless.

NOOOO! Don't kill Doink! He never done nothin' to you!

...Oh, were you talking about another clown? Nevermind then.

Also, I was personally hoping for a Bobby Heenan Celebrity Roast.

We're truly gonna feel Owen's absence at this show. The man was so proud of his two Slammy's that he even donned tights with their likeness and carried them around years after anybody cared about the damn things.

I think it's possible that the WWE will give most memorable moment to Owen's tribute show, to give him his third (and obviously final) "Slammy-esque" award. If for no other reason than a tribute to the man who personified the wrestling award.

Da Meltz is saying that The Raw 10th Anniversary is now 2 hours now.

Also, the official release does say Award Show.

It won't be the same without Owen.
