| #1 Posted on 31.12.02 1016.15 Reposted on: 31.12.09 1017.00 | I popped in a tape of WM XI last night. Some observations:
That crowd was mighty hot for everything.
Razor-Jarrett was a nice little match.
One of my favorite themes ever is the Allied Powers' music.
I appreciate Bob Backlund more now than I did then.
Watching the introduction of the Million $ Team was hilarious, especially Volkoff and IRS.
It was obvious that McMahon was expecting millions of people who've never seen the WWF before to buy this thing to see LT. When the Allied Powers were in the ring, McMahon was like "you think these guys are something, wait till you see their opponents." Then when Jacob and Eli came out, he was all like "LOOK, JERRY, TWINS! IDENTICAL TWINS! OH MY GOD!"
Also, I think WM XI's logo was the coolest looking of them all. Which segues nicely into this: is it just me, or does anyone else think WM XIX's logo looks really, really dull and generic? Promote this thread! | | Torchslasher

Agreed on the bland WM XIX logo. | asteroidboy

Oh, and on WrestleMania XI. They really should have let Shawn Michaels and Diesel go on last. Even if they thought people bought the PPV for the LT/Bam Bam match. What were people going to do? Turn off they're TV's. They still have to pay the 35 bucks, so who cares? WrestleMania should let the wrestlers shine, not the celeberities. | redsoxnation

But then Salt 'n Pepper wouldn't have been able to rap to conclude the show. Personally, they should have had Bob Backlund come out at the end and try to get them to enunciate better. | OMEGA

*mark-out mode on* HA! Hey, remember when one of the members tried to attack Bam Bam, and the other band members had to hold her back. I would have loved to see her actually get to Bigelow so he could have moonsaulted her ass. *mark-out mode off* | Big Bad
