I like the cartoon physics of the wrestling world too. Much like I enjoy the clangy poles backstage, I also enjoy a good moment backstage where one wrestler whips another toward a (wall/door/inanimate object), as such:
step, step, step, step, step, step, step, *CRASH*. The best was when Scott Hall did that against one of those flexible garage doors while in WCW. Poor man had quite a run to get to the door.
I keep waiting for the gimmick of "SMARTEST WRESTLER EVER", a guy who will not charge the corner after flinging his opponent there only to get booted in the face, who will not telegraph a back body drop for a full minute while his opponent bounces off the ropes and kicks him in the face. A guy who doesn't punch Hogan when he is "hulking up", and who takes full advantage of "No-DQ" stips (bash oppnent->pin/climb ladder/etc.).
