The main reason SNL's been good over the past few years are, in addition to Will Ferrell, the excellent political sketches. They've still got the latter going for them, so I have no doubt this'll be another great show. If nothing else, I'm sure there's gonna be a Hardball sketch.

That and Donahue. Gotta get 'em in while they still can, before MSNBC completes the long, slow flush down the toilet of TV failure.

Well, it trailed off a bit near the end, but as a whole I thought this episode rocked the casbah. Gore was awesome and we got the return of Stuart Smalley!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I've got some biases here, being a Democrat and avid Gore supporter but it was still pretty darned funny.

Gore seemed wooden, as expected, but he came nowhere near 1.0 Forbes. More like a .4, and DeNiro last week was at least a .5. A good job by the host.
The open and monologue were awesome, Hardball was alright, and the trip to "West Wing" was different and very welcome. All the Trent Lott jokes ("You're shedding some light on it...and it's coming from a cross you just lit!") were hilarious. TV Funhouse had me rolling on the floor. SMIGEL~!
Not a bad show, one of the better ones of the season. The cue card reading by both Gore and Jeff Richards in the Wonka sketch was atrocious, though. And the Jarrett's Room skits have to end; there's nothing more they can do with them.

The West Wing spot was great, mainly because I'm grateful that moron is not and will never be President. The Hardball segment was great too(just as much for the Demcoratic consultant who agreed with everything the GOP said; it's funny because it's true).
