Detmer will be holding kicks and be stripped as the back-up if needed.
Starting to feel much more apprehensive about this game now. Not cos I've got anyting against Feeley, just that there almost seems to be a sense that we did the hard part last week against Seattle and this game should be a breeze. Seems like whenever you start expecting the Eagles to win, something bad happens. And if it does, we won't even get the consellation of booing Trotter dammit. Promote this thread! | | Zeruel

After all frustration over the years we are waiting for something bad to happen. Oh wait, it has happened, we kept rolling, and we are waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hold on, it did drop and we still won. But I still can't shake that nervous feeling. | Simba

That is something I want to see on ESPN.

Hey thats a point. Feeley's 3-0 now. If you're Andy Reid do youdrop him to make way for Detmer or keep going with whats been working? Either way if we lose in Dallas he's gonna have some tough questions to answer. But then if we win (and we should) he'll be a hero. Ah the fickle nature of sport | Mr. Boffo

Even if Feeley throws for 500yards in his next 2 games and rushes for another 100 we can safely assume he aint keeping Donovan out the team. | TheCow

Yes, I agree. If McNabb is cleared to play, he will definitely play.
The situation reminds me of the 1991 Dallas Cowboys. Troy Aikman got hurt in the 1st Half of the game that the Cowboys beat the 11-0 Washington Redskins at RFK to end the Skins hopes for an undefeated season. Steve Beurlein stepped in at QB and won that game vs. Washington and went 5-0 in his next 5 games as starter, including a playoff win against the Bears at Soldier Field. Aikman was healed and cleared to play before the 2nd round game against the Lions in Detroit but, they stuck with Beurlein and the Cowboys were destroyed by the Lions that day. By the time Aikman finally came in the game was already out of reach.
But, hey, the Cowboys went on to win 3 of the next 4 Super Bowls so, it can be chalked up as a learning experience. | evilwaldo

Koy's contract is up at the end of the year and Feeley has one year remaining on his.
But Koy is David Akers holder so read into that how you will. | drjayphd

Hey, if they learned anything from the kicking meltdown the Giants had that one game (aka, the Tom Rouen Era) they'll keep Detmer on the team. Maybe trade Feeley to fill a need?
