You know, I don't think this is working out. Please enjoy the 411 forums and say "hi" to Hyatte for me. (Aaron's too nice to plonk you for attacking him, but I'M not!) | not a wrestler

Let me ask you somthing. You rip on Vince Mcmahon, right? How about his wife Linda? Or his daughter Steph? Now, do they stop you from watching their show or going to live events? I doubt it. If every single person here shares the same opinions of CRZ, then I think I'll leave on my own. I thought that was the purpose of a forum. There is difference. A big one, that you seem to be glossing over.
The McMahons are the owners of a publically owned company, one which you or I have no effect over as individuals, whatsoever. If we can't contain ourselves, and we start bitching about Vince or Linda, they don't care, simply because it has no effect on the product if one fan or one thousand fans are being intentionally disruptive (though I invite you to go and try to pick fights or be intentionally disruptive at a live show, and see how long you last with security).
Another thing is, is that the McMahons make money, alot of it, on our dollars. We're the ones that buy the PPVs, the merch, we provide the ratings that bring in the ad dollars, so why SHOULD Vince care if you hate him, as long is you continue to put money in his pocket. Even if you don't, he still doesn't care, because there are several thousand people behind you that will.
Neither CRZ or Guru make ANY money off this site. There are no ads. We don't send them cash. This service to talk about wrestling and whatever other crap we want to talk about is provided free of charge, and for that, if we post here, we should feel endebted enough not to come on and mock them. It's stupid. It's for that same reason that I don't go to a free concert to boo the band, or get a free sample at a restaurant, and then bitch about the service. I might do it afterwords with my friends, or even, if I'm a big enough asshole, go to another concert or another restaurant and bitch about the "other" guy. The Zims are giving us something free, the VERY least we can do is treat them with the respect they are owed for that. Don't like it? There are PLENTY of other free message boards. Though, you'll probably get the EXACT same treatment if you go over there and bitch about the board's mods or owners too. | not a wrestler

| #15 Posted on 12.12.02 0153.38 Reposted on: 12.12.09 0159.02 | Come on, the 411 boards aren't all that bad. Their biggest problem is that Widro and Ashish hardly have anything to do with it. It's almost as if the forums are a seperate entity from the actual site, as opposed to wienerville which was always an equal, vital partner with Slash.
If Widro or Ashish took a more hands on approach to their forum, or assigned moderators with a more err.. "CRZish" way of maintaining focus (I for one, would love to see how Hyatte would run the forums), I could easily see 411 having a very cool, very influential forum set.
I guess what I'm saying is the 411 forums have potential, but the people running them stink. (my opinion and no one elses). | CRZ

A month or so, for example, there seemed to be quite a lot of posts by Guru Zim bemoaning the state of the board, and, in one, even looking forward to 'having to' expel lots of people. I was a bit confused, becuase I really couldn't see the problem - no real flaming, fairly moderate language, a generally calmer tone than a lot of boards. It still didn't seem to be good enough for the moderators, though. Personally (and obviously speaking as someone who wasn't the focus of the post), that intial posting really didn't seem very insulting. A bit silly, maybe, but it does seem a bit harsh to boot the guy for it. This is not the same thing as saying that CRZ didn't have the right to do it, 'cause obviously it's his site; just that it seems to be a wee bit of an over-reaction. Still, what do I know? | CRZ

The reason the place is like that is cause the moderators do a good job of keeping it so. Those two guys were pissing off a lot of folks with the majority of their posts, hence banned I would guess.(Cue the ass kissing accusations). | evilwaldo
