But then again, I guess so is WWF TV...so, par for the course.

This can only mean that when Steve comes back and marries Vince on a 'very special episode of RAW', that episode will be the #1 RAW moment EVER!!!

I can patiently wait a billion years for THAT to happen...

#61 was the first Raw I ever saw and has a soft spot in my heart.

From what I've seen on replays, 5, 43 and 47 were great.

X-Pac returning was part of the, Shawn-Michaels-is-gone-HHH-forms-the-DX-army deal. The NAO and X-Pac were invited to join DX along with HHH and Chyna.

#74- Owen Hart Tribute Show... damn, that was emotionally draining.

70, 78, 80, 87, 90... all great.

What about the Rock cutting a promo on Billy Gunn after he won KotR? (7/11/99) That's my favorite promo of all time, I think (and the only one I have on mp3).

But I guess we're not really voting here, are we?

The numbers aren't a rank of any sort, LAR, they're reference points. The shows are numbered in the order in which they aired... the true top moments will be revealed during the anniversary.

Just picked up this magazine last night (first wrestling magazine I've bought in like 10 years). It's a good read, but like others, I was disappointed with some omissions. Here are some things that I would have liked to see on the list other than some of the crap that was on there:

*Rocky throwing Austin into the river (but mentioned it in the nextr week's synopsis of the Stone Cold funeral/monster truck incident).
*The corporation skit by DX.
*DX playing strip poker in the ring and attacking the Headbangers
*Rikishi revealed as the driver (as someone mentioned)
*and numerous ones that 5th Horseman mentioned (but wasn't Mankind ripping off his mask and becoming Cactus Jack on Smackdown?)

A bit too much '98 and '99 stuff on the list for my liking, but I guess that was the biggest period for Raw, afterall. I would have liked to see at least one Edge and Christian moment make it on there too.

That depends on how you look at it. It was made official on SmackDown but, as a Cactus Jack fan, it was obvious what was happening at the end of the previous Raw. I'm working by memory so I might be wrong but, here's how I remember it. It was on the Raw when all the wrestlers were surrounding the ring to begin RAW and the Rock was in the ring as their spokesperson. This was during the period of time of the McMahon-Helmsley era and they had been putting different wrestlers in strange matches. A couple of weeks earlier, they had made the Rock face Mankind in a "pink slip on a pole" match in which the loser was fired. The Rock won so, Mankind was fired. In the time when Mankind was fired, HHH and DX were doing the skits with the fake Mankind and basically just making fun of Mankind. On this night, all the wrestlers threatened to walk out if their demands weren't met. The first demand was that Mick Foley be reinstated. HHH and Stephanie hesitantly agreed. Mankind then came out of the crowd and demanded a WWF title match, with the stips to be named later, for Royal Rumble. HHH agreed. They also forced HHH to make a match with the New Age Outlaws to wrestle against each other and one with HHH and X-Pac against each other. At the end of the night, DX was also going to have a match against Rock & Sock Connection and the Acolites.

As a result, the New Age Outlaws and X-Pac were pissed at HHH for agreeing to all this. Stephanie then tripped X-Pac during the HHH vs. X-Pac match, which pissed him and the NAOs even more (they called Stephanie the Yoko Ono of DX). So, when the 8 man match was going on, HHH went to make a tag and X-Pac and the NAOs jumped off the apron and refused to tag HHH. They were walking out on HHH when Rock and the Acolites chased them up the ramp. That left HHH and Mankind alone in the ring. When it looked like Mankind had the match won, Stephanie got involved. With Mankind distracted, HHH attacked him from behind, threw him into the steps on the floor, bounced his head off the announce table, hit him in the head with the ring bell, and then Pedigreed him through the announce table. He then threw him back in the ring, Pedigreed him again and pinned him. HHH continued beating on him after the match until Mankind hit him with a clothesline and then ripped his Mankind mask off. Mick's face and shirt was covered in blood. Mick then started beating on HHH and threw him out of the ring. He then picked up the steps and hit HHH with the steps. I was already thinking about the possible return of Cactus Jack at this point. Then he set part of the broken announce table top up against the ring and slung HHH through the table top by his hair and gave the "Bang! Bang!" which any Cactus Jack fan would recognize. HHH tried to escape by crawling back in the ring but, Mick followed him and clotheslined him over the top rope. HHH went up the ramp with a look of fear on his face.

The following SmackDown started with HHH and Steph cutting a promo in the ring. Mankind came out with his mask back on and still wearing the bloody shirt from Raw. He said Mankind wasn't prepared to face HHH in a street fight so, he said he would have to name a replacement. He then took his mask off again and took off the bloody shirt to reveal his Cactus Jack "Wanted" T-shirt and announced that Cactus Jack would be Mankind's replacememnt for the street fight.

So, yes, technically Cactus Jack officially returned on SmackDown but, it was obviously happening on the Raw before that.

Damn, that reminds me of another great Raw moment that should be in the Top 100. Remember when Shane McMahon returned at No Way Out and hit the Rock with the chair to help Big Show beat Rock for the WWF title shot at WrestleMania. HHH, Steph, Big Show, and Shane were all making fun of Rock with the 2 midgets in the ring and then Rock came out and said he would put his career on the line for 1 more shot at the WrestleMania WWF title shot. HHH and Big Show agreed. Shane McMahon ended up being the ref and was cheating the Rock when Vince returned from his long absence, punked out HHH in the back, then came to the ring, hit Shane with a chair, took off Shane's ref shirt, put it on, and then made the 3 count to help the Rock beat the Big Show for the WWF title shot at WrestleMania.
