I never liked reading spoilers but didn't make great efforts to avoid them.. until one fateful night a few years ago, when there were spoilers popping up literally everywhere on the Internet that Mick Foley had won the WWF Title on the next week's taped Raw. Heck, even WWF.com posted it on their homepage days before it aired on TV. Now, I would've loved to see that not knowing that it would happen.. but that chance was taken from me. I did turn it into an interesting game though, by telling my friends who I normally watched with to stay away from any website remotely involving wrestling because of the "huge surprise" that was coming next week. During the show, one asked me if something involving Shawn Michaels was the huge surprise (he got beat up, I think?), and I said yeah, it was. Then Foley wins and they all go nuts. I wish I would've been as surprised as they were!

But anyway, as a result, no spoilers for me. I don't take chances either, I stay away from internet wrestling from late Tuesday to Thursday so I can watch Smackdown just like it was Raw.

The reason Vince was blasting out the spoilers for Foley winning the World Title was because that appeared on paper to be the night where Nitro could regain momentum with the No-Sold-Berg vs. Nash title match. Putting together Vince leaking the results, WCW announcing the results, plus the idiotic angle run that night that led to Hogan/Nash finger poke for the Title, WCW blew a golden opportunity and arguably entered the path of suicide.

I am too much of a die hard to wait that long

I usually read all Raw reports (thus "spoiling" it) and everything, then first the SD! spoilers on wednesday and then SD! reports on friday.

It hardly ever takes away from watching the shows.
In fact, sometimes when I read alot of stuff online about how bad it was, I get to prepare and usually I like it alot, maybe because of expecting the worst.

That was a brilliant old trick at university. A whole group of us would watch Raw and Smackdown and have bets on the results, the morons not knowing that it was a simple matter of checking the WWF website to know the results. I managed to blag it up enough one night that the Brooklyn Brawler and Kaientai won 40 for me (it would have been 20, but I bet double on the Brawler winning, which got me laughed out of the room).

In my weight training class in hs, we all talked about wrestling in the locker room and we would talk about stuff, and I remeber when Deano lost to Crash on HEAT, no one could believe Dean would leave, so I made some money that way. Then of course I am a nice guy and revealed my trick and gave the money back.
