Hogan got the wins back over Warrior (at Halloween Havoc '98) and Undertaker (the Tuesday in Texas controversy). But as someone who watched WCW religiously for several years, I know he never beat Goldberg.

Goldberg lost to Kevin Nash, Booker T, Bret Hart and Scott Steiner in singles matches. (Losing the World Title to Nash, and his second U.S. Title to Hart). He also lost to The Outsiders while defending the tag-team title along with Bret Hart. And he was pinned by Lex Luger at WCW Sin 2001, as Goldberg and Sarge lost to Luger and Bagwell, forcing Goldberg into retirement.

I suppose you could also include matches which he lost but in which he wasn't actually pinned. If you do that, I know Scott Hall joins the list (as part of a U.S. Title ladder match that I witnessed personally), and I think DDP won in a fatal four-way by pinning Nash, and one of his opponents was Goldberg.

Point is, Goldberg actually ended up losing quite a few times. But unless I really, really missed something, Hogan never got his win back from Goldberg.

Yoko did defeat Hogan though, at King of the Ring 1993-- the match that ended Hulkamania in the WWF. This came after the controversial title win by Hogan in an unscheduled match at WM IX-- which, not coincidentially, is considered the worst WrestleMania of all-time.

But if we're talking clean pinfalls here, I can only remember one time that Hogan cleanly got pinned during his WWF career after Hulkamania-- at WrestleMania VI against The Ultimate Warrior.

An interesting thing to note about Hogan. He never held any title in the WWF or WCW except for their World Heavyweight Titles. And off the top of my head, I can only think of two occasions in which he even had a shot at any other titles:

--Hogan had an Intercontinental Title shot at WrestleMania VI against The Ultimate Warrior, since it was a “title-for-title” match,

--Hogan had a Tag Team Title shot (with Brutus Beefcake) against Ted DiBiase and I.R.S. (Money Inc.) at WrestleMania IX.

Does anyone know where I can find out more about this? I never did know the full story, just that the title win wasn't "according to plan".....

If I recall correctly, Hogan ended up winning the title via countout when Inoki ended up legitimately knocked out. This was the first IWGP tournament. At the SECOND tournament, Hogan "defended" the title against the tourney winner (Inoki again) and lost. I think it was right after that that the title started being defended as a "regular" championship tho' they still held a yearly tourney with the winner taking on the champ. (This is where Phil will hopefully chime in and correct me)

Before WM3 the wwf was claiming that Andre "hadn't lost a match in 15 years." And that Hogan and Andre had never had a match. If i'm not mistaken they had some matches in the old AWA.

They also had a match in MSG back in 1979 or 1980 in front of a huge crowd, that led to Hogan getting chosen as Thunderlips for Rocky III. McMahon Senior told Hogan if he took the role, he could kiss his WWF career goodbye. Hogan kissed it goodbye, and didn't come back until January 1984.

The only people I remember ever pinning Goldberg are Nash, Booker T, and maybe someone else like Bret Hart or Sid.

IN ORDER:
Starrcade 98 - Kevin Nash
Monday Nitro (October 99) - Bret Hart
Starrcade 99 - Bret Hart
Monday Nitro (December 99) - Bret Hart
Monday Nitro (July/August 2000) - Booker T
Fall Brawl 2000 - Scott Steiner
Sin 2000 - Buff Bagwell/Lex Luger

He also lost to The Outsiders while defending the tag-team title along with Bret Hart.

Bret Hart took the pinfall though.

CRZ, you are correct with your post except (i'm not 100% on this because i wasn't there) I remember reading that Inoki getting KO'd was a work. Both Hogan and Inoki (surprise) were quite stubborn about winning the IWGP title for the first time (read: both did not want to job). Thus, Hogan went over via countout with the assumption that Inoki gets the next rub.

I've been off the net for awhile now, so i don't know where to find info about this anymore... sorry, but i have to stick with what i remember.

On a side note, the tournament for the first IWGP title had quite the stars in it, here are some i remember: Hogan, Andre, Big John Studd, Killer Khan, Antonio Inoki, Maeda Akira, El Canek, Dino Bravo, yadda yadda
