| #22 Posted on 1.12.02 2320.55 Reposted on: 1.12.09 2321.33 | Wrestling for my wife is what Trading Spaces is for me: a show that, when the other one is watching it, we might come in more to just hang out than watch the show. However, as a result, I can now say such things as "Vern should stop doing upholstered headboards" and "Hilde always picks the worst window treatments" and she can say such things as "Chris Benoit has no mike skills" and "Ugh, Brock Lesnar looks disgusting." She'll get into the acrobatic stuff somewhat, but absolutely hates the hardcore stuff, to the point where she can't watch. But for the most part it's "I guess I can understand why you get into this." Hey, that's enough for me.
For some reason though, she's gotten insanely into Football in, like, the past month. Who knew?
but I don't know who will be Jesus. Raven, perhaps
Well, they're both Jewish. That's a start.

a) they take a ton of time to do, which means less time for other stuff and
b) How the hell are you going to clean or dust that thing? If you have allergies you're going to be one miserable bastard every morning.
Gee, I guess I'm more into the show than I thought. Maybe my wife's at work talking about the backstory behind the current HHH vs. HBK feud. | pieman

How could you possibly leave out the best of the best, Frank? I'd let Frank redo any room in our house without any fear whatsoever. I've never seen one of his designs that I didn't like, and, more importantly, that the homeowners didn't appear to love.
As for the original topic of this thread, I turned my wife onto the glory of wrestling several years ago. She watches with me religiously and has her own tastes that differ dramatically from mine in many cases. However, I haven't managed to turn her on the the IWC. She knows it is there, but doesn't really care.

i gotta agree with you there.....i don't think i've seen anything that Hilde or Doug have done that i've liked. doug seems like he's an ass sometimes too. he almost walked off a couple of weeks ago when the couple wouldn't let him paint (ruin) the fireplace.
if i had a choice (even though they don't let you pick) of designers from TS do my home, it would be
1. Vern 2. Frank 3. Lori (the red southern chick) 4. Genevieve

| #30 Posted on 2.12.02 1542.19 Reposted on: 2.12.09 1544.05 | I'm beginning to watch regularly again, and since we do not get TNN with our current cable package, my wife now gets to look forward to me going over my parents house every Monday night for two hours to watch wrestling. It gives her time to hang out with HER parents on Monday, so I don't think she minds all that much. She thinks it is childish and stupid, so to get back at me she watches the Anna Nicole Show (I think she's the only person on the planet who actually saw every episode). I do not like *that*, but as long as I'm watching wrestling I can't say anything.

Genevieve (solely because she seems like a lot of fun, not for looks) Hilde Amy Wynn Page (see Genevieve and reverse it) Laurie
And you brought it up, not me. Why do you think I watch the show?
EDIT: Frank's married (to a woman). I give Doug a 65% chance of being gay and Vern an 80% chance. Ty gets a 5% chance.

I think you're right about Vern, but Doug's at about 98%. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
