Send money) To sweeten the deal, I figured I'd try to save them some money and trade in a number of my old Playstation games. Make them pay the difference.
Anyway, to get to the point, I've gathered about 24 games or so. The cds are all in decent condition, but some of the cases are broken or not the orgininal, and I lost some documentation.
I was just curious if any of you have traded in old stuff, and what kinda credit you got for it. Maybe you could give me an idea of what I'd be getting.
BTW: I'm leaning more toward geting Smackdown: SYM. I'll save GTA:Vice City for Christmas. Make it that much more special. :) | Promote this thread! |             | vsp

First off, you may be surprised at just how few games the store may be willing to accept. EB, for instance, has an absolutely MASSIVE PS1 restricted list -- too big to print, since they already have thousands and thousands of PS1 games that they can't get rid of for $10 or less. I strongly suspect that most other chains have similar policies.
Even if they take some of them (certainly less than half), they'll be selling THOSE used for $10-15. This means they'll be giving you single-digit dollars per game, probably on the low end of single-digits at that. Is it really worth it?
Here's a better idea -- find someone you know who has a PS1 or PS2, and see if they'd pay a lump sum for a pile of games privately. You'll likely get much better terms than you would from a store. (Likewise, do you have an old PS1 as well that you could part with? If so, it may be easier -- you might find someone who wants to get their kids something to play with for Xmas, but doesn't want to spend a bundle. Your PS1+games might save them some shopping and make you a few bucks.) | Quezzy

(PS2)
Tony Hawk 3 - $8
All Star Baseball 2003 - $8
Grand Theft Auto 3 - $10
SD: KYR - $8
Plus, they charged me a $3 "resurfacing fee" because Tony Hawk had a few scratches on it. (yet had no problems during gameplay) Bastards!
So, I ended up getting the new SD game for like $23 with tax. Not a bad deal, but pretty much shit for trade-ins. | Alex
