| #21 Posted on 21.11.02 0046.00 Reposted on: 21.11.09 0046.45 | It's not like anyone was watching Steiner when he was the centerpiece of WCW, so I don't really see the point of signing him to an overinflated contract. People (rightly) say Shawn Michaels is a no-name to today's fans, andSteiner last wrestler 18 months ago when no one was watching, so what are fans supposed to think of HIM? And yeah, he's looked good, but everyone's made a big deal of his signing like he's Jesus (the whole free agent gimmick) so of COURSE he's going to get a good reaction.
I didn't too much like the way his offense looked on Raw and I don't think he's going to be healthy in the long run, so I think the end result of this will be a guy like Jericho putting him over, only to see Steiner get injured or whatever and be out of the company in three months anyway. And in the end it'll be the same old thing, Vince supplement what he wants in the main event (muscleboud freaks) over what will work (solid to great wrestlers with personality).
If they'd put this much effort in Jericho/Benoit/Angle/Edge/Booker/Jericho/RVD or hell even TEST, they'd be in better shape.

He's been on TWO shows, and just been doing the old run-in gimmick. He's pretty much Three Minute Warning, except with interviews.
All I'm saying is that he has entertained me...which is something Three Minute Warning has still failed to do.
Saying he is just like 3-Minute Warning except that he is entertaining ... well that's like saying I'm just like Shaq except I'm short, skinny, Mexican and I don't play basketball. Oh yeah, I don't rap either.
He'll keep doing the "run-in gimmick" until they decide which show he'll be on fulltime. It would be stupid to start am in-ring feud with someone if he isn't even going to be on that show. | rlbehan

Like it or not, even Vince does not have the power to travel through time, and if he did, I suspect there are a couple of other guys he'd bring back first. BPP may get old fast, who knows, but so far, I have been entertained, which is what this is supposed to be about. | Spinaroonie2245

Steiner becoming champion was actually the first signs of the dying WCW showing some long-term planning. Admittedly it was waaaay past the point where it would have made a difference, but I appreciated the thought. They were quite clearly attempting to build to a Steiner/Goldberg showdown, which could've somewhat dug them out of their slump had Bisch managed to buy the company as planned. | redsoxnation

In all honesty, I never thought the Fusient deal would go through because it made no economic sense. I put as much credence in that deal as I did when I heard ECW fans saying ECW would be on USA because Farmclub showed clips of the show. | dskillz

| #28 Posted on 21.11.02 1411.14 Reposted on: 21.11.09 1414.42 | First of all, please take all "interviews" on WWE.com with a grain of salt. He said what his character would say. I think all those interviews have much kayfabe i them.
Steiner doesn't move the way he used to, but the image and character is what I dig. He is a loose cannon and kicks ass. I like that. That is something missing from Raw. No heels just kick ass anymore. Everyone wants to be cute and be a "cool heel". The Scotty character hates people and wants to kick their asses. Kind of like the old Stone Cold. I am impressed with Scott so far and obviously the crowds have remembered him from WCW.
I don't think giving him the belt in WCW was desperation, I mean, the Booker T/Steiner fued was very entertaining. It gave Booker something to Chase. I look forward to see how he does in the WWE. | The Amazing Salami

It's even better that he's a face that is a loose cannon and kicks ass. ;) | dskillz

I just don't think that face thing is going to last too long...;) Actually I think he will be a tweener for a bit.

I really didn't dig him in WCW. Well, at least I didn't like the Big Bad Booty Daddy persona. His promos sound like an oversexed Warrior.
But, who knows, the WWE may have something interesting in store for him. They have a knack for fine tuning characters (if they actually try). I mean, look at Booker T. When they first brought over WCW a lot of people turned on the old WCW product after the nostaliga wore off.
But now Booker is a main eventer, and one of the most entertaining guys in the locker room.
Let's see... | count olaf

This could be a good short-term deal for WWE if they push him fast and hard as a title contender with the understanding that he will probably be out with an injury within eight months. His moveset does nothing for me, but I love his promos- nonsensical ramblings about Booker T's ebonics and the occasional angry shoot. Best promo I ever saw was Steiner calling out Flair's loose skin and discussing how the Nature Boy ran Steve Austin out of the company, and how he was the 17 time champ only because he was friends with the bookers. I'm thinking that wasn't scheduled. | DarrylTheHitman
