From where I was sitting, it looked like RVD's splash was just really shitty, and he landed with his knees instead of his stomach. The ref checked on HHH most of the time, and HHH sat out a good 5 minutes + of action. I really though they were going to pin him and get him out of there as soon as possible. I was pretty impressed he worked the rest of the match, although any other ending with HBK going over would have been silly. | Ringmistress

I've been looking forward to another HBK/HHH feud (preferably without the title, but that's water under the bridge at this point). Good to see he gutted it out regardless. For all the negative things we say about him, it makes you wonder how you would react if you were in there instead of him. I wish him good luck.

Props to HHH, though, for toughing out a 30 minute match with an injury and to Brock for even going into his match with the injury he had. After seeing him F5 the Big Show, I think the only power move he could top that with would be tipping the ring over to clear out all the competitors at the Royal Rumble. | THEMIXXER

Depending on the severity, his doc might just give him the simple prescription to "shut the hell up" (not that I think Jericho's an otolarynologist or anything) for a few days & he'll be ok.
Hopefully this won't come back and bite RVD in the ass; that they'll just look at it as "s**t happens", it was a high-risk match, be more careful next time, that sort of thing.
But in the meantime, we're stuck with what I hope will be a TRANSITIONAL champion.....get that belt off of Michaels and onto one of those other five guys NOW. | asteroidboy

Guess us Real Fucking Morons can't make snide remarks. But don't worry man, even though your hero might not be on TV tonight, I'm sure JR and Lawler will spend plenty of time talking about him, maybe even interviewing him from the hospital. Maybe they can just run a big photo of him for two hours, since he's soooo much more over than any of the guys who can actually wrestle. | Jackson

SAUCY!
I'd begin to wonder if RVD did what he did on purpose, but it seems like if he was really out to get him, he'd have kicked him in the face instead of some opting for a painful injury that's most likely going to leave HHH gasping for air and Van Dam with hell toupee. | oldschoolhero

OSH was snide immediately after telling people not to be. But you're noth wrong for having this stupid argument here. Now I'm sorry for what happened to Triple H and I hope that he is not seriously hurt. I also hope that this creates the oppurtunity to build new stars (Booker, Christian) and reelevate old ones (RVD, Jericho) in Triple H's stead, so that when he comes back there will be a full main event scene on both shows. 3.1 rating = number of people that want to watch a HHH-dominated RAW.
Your hero is NOT the most over person on RAW. That distinction goes to HBK, Booker, or RVD, depending on the fan's mood.
And I'd argue that the HHH shilling is much more mindless than the HHH bashing. Or maybe the posts just have smaller words, I dunno.

If you have nothing more to do than try and prove your vast intellect through your simply amazing array of HHH-related jokes and haughty replies, then I pity you. And furthermore, if you are so stupid that you see every person who doesn't think HHH is the Antichrist as a "shill", then I pity you even more.
See, I could run through some things, such as the fact that my post had nothing to do with television ratings but rather the reactions of the live crowds, or that it's pure wishful thinking to claim that RVD or Booker is more over than H, but hey, this argument has gotten stupid enough already. I cannot be bothered to be dragged into childish, petty namecalling and "ooh-aren't-I-clever-snigger-snigger-aren't you retarded-snigger-snigger" back-and-forth bitching. Grow up. Get a life. Which of course is the problem...they had to bring Shawn back (who of course is his bestest buddy) and put him with FOUR other guys who you could at least argue should be tried out with the rating down, put them all in a stupid gimmick match, and then let them risk all kinds of injury just to get a worthless belt off of Hunter!
After all if HHH was so over, then a job or two wouldn't affect his heat and all and might actually ADD interest in a rematch etc. | asteroidboy

All he has to do is confront HBK about superkicking him when he had Hunter in the Walls. Bring up how he said his main concern was costing Hunter the belt and call him a stupid SOB.
