I normally dislike Sandler's comedy music, but this was actually not that bad, and I laughed when Rob Schneider came out. I kind of dreaded this coming in, but it ended up being good enough.

We did get the best segment of the year so far: the monologue. Parnell ripping on Brian Fellows and Poehler first mentioning Corky Romano and then her line, "Say my name, Don Pardo!" "AMY POEHLER!" had me rolling on the floor. SNL always brings the awesomeness when Parnell raps, and this was no exception. I'm taping the repeat just for this part.

The rest was blah. When the highlight of the other stuff is waiting for the inevitable Jimmy Fallon crack up, and laughing when you get it, it's an average show. Actually, the Astronaut Jones skit was good as well, but everything else was just there. Jarret's Room was disappointing, as was our sole appearance from Hammond as Donahue. Tennis Talk was DOA; Girl with No Gaydar was good (DRATCH~!) but needs a new direction as it's getting old.

Not as bad as the first two weeks of this season, but a step down from last week for sure.

That Hanauukah song was good but not as funny as the other two versions.

That monologue was funny. I like the in-jokes during the monologue.

When Jimmy Fallon and Horatio Sanz are in a sketch together, you know they're going to crack up.

Seth Meyers saved "Jarrett's Room."

Donahue was funny.

Update was funny, except for Drunk Girl which totally sucks and Liza Minnelli. Best line was the joke about Michael Jackson.

Astronaut Jones was alright. I liked Garrett Morris's cameo.

That was the weirdest TV Funhouse I've ever seen. Weird but funny.

Only 1 appearance by Amy Poehler, which was memorable.

Overall, an alright SNL. The next new SNL is in 3 weeks with Robert DeNiro hosting. Can't wait for that.

It'd make more sense if you had kids that are addicted to Veggietales like mine are.

I thought the Welcome Back Potter, bit was good for what it was.

Other than the opening bit, I've gotta agree...blah!

As for Fallon chronically cracking up...I'm kind of "mixed-bag" for that. In a way it reminds of the old Carol Burnett shows where Tim Conway would start to lose it with Harvey Korman. But in a bad way...every time?

It does get a little old.

The Tennis Talk with Time Travelling Scott Joplin had me laughing really hard. It was a totally drug-induced skit, but damn, Maya had me howling.
The monologue was brilliant and I thought Brittany Murphy did a great job as a whole.

I thought the show was pretty funny, but Brittany Murphy was so stoned out of her mind that the only sketch she seemed to fit into was, obviously, "Jarrett's Room".
