I hate starting too many threads that go nowhere so I've decided to throw two points into one post for your consideration...first,

InVerse stated in another thread:

"Show is going to win the title after Heyman throws in the towel on Lesnar's behalf"

I think this is an awesome idea that nobody on the board has touched on yet. It allows Brock to stay "undefeated" (of sorts), yet takes the title off of him with a loss, allowing him time to also rest up the injury. (Of course, being there live, I want to see an F-5 and Brock pin to blow the roof off the place). Have we ever said "blow the roof off the place" about a Big Show match before? I think it's about time.

The other point I wanted to bring up are the signs on SmackDown that everybody seems to have lately... "Eddie Guerrero Mows My Lawn". I'm not one to get offended easily, and I really could'nt care less, but I just think it's interesting they allow such racist comments on screen, let alone FOCUS IN ON THEM. To me it's on par with "Mark Henry Eats Bananas", or something similar. Maybe it's just me....

What do you think?

I'm thinking they'll do the whole Ken Shamrock internal bleeding ref stoppage.

I do like the idea of Heyman throwing in the towel after Brock kicks out of a couple Choke Slams but is coughing blood all over the place. The title is awarded to Big Show but then on Smackdown, Stephanie holds the title up in a rematch between Brock & Big Show at the Dec PPV where Brock steamrolls through Big Show.

How is saying that Eddie mowed somebody's lawn the same as inferring somebody is subhuman?

Both are racist comments. I won't even go into why the Mark Henry example would be racist, if that's what your asking. I think it's fairly obvious.

Heyman throwing in the towel would probably be the best way for Big Show to win, if he is indeed going to win. The main reason that I really DO NOT want to see Big Show win is I don't want to see him as Champion and taking up a bunch of time on SmackDown for another month. I also don't want to see him in one of the Headlining matches, for the World Title, in another PPV. There won't be another great 3 way tag match and an Elimination Chamber match to make up for another Big Show Championship match at the next PPV.

Show winning this Sunday won't disturb me as much as it may have a month ago...The buildup has been really good, and Show's come off excellently over the past coupla weeks. Plus, if the fed's hand is forced by Brock's injury (which may keep him out for a good six weeks) then they really have no choice. And even if Show does take the belt, Brock will grab it back as soon as he recovers from the cracked rib.

Don't be such a sissy. Refusing to explain a racial slur is racism, because you feel that the slur's target may be offended by you having knowledge. After all, no knowledge is evil. It's usage can be.

Not to go off an a tangent, but everybody in this country is familiar with racism, has probably felt the brunt of racism, and nobody likes it. Even the head of the KKK gets offended when a black dude calls him a honky. Otherwise, he wouldn't be in the KKK. Face facts. Ignoring racism by not speaking or explaining that it's bad is just as evil as partaking in it.

First, the "Eddy mows my Lawn" thing. There is a long standing stereotype in this country that all hired landscaping personelle are of Latin descent. As such, the sign of which we speak, "Eddy Mows my Lawn", is an exploitation of said stereotype.

The Mark Henry comment, "Mark Henry Eats Bananas", is a weaker attempt at a true racial slur. "Monkey" is an archaic slur for a black person. As such, what FurryHippie is trying to get across is that Mark Henry is a Monkey, thus using the old slur in a much tongue in cheek kind of way.

But, when you think about Mark Henry, he actually does look like a gorilla. Don't start calling me a racist because of this profound statement; I'm sure most of you would agree that a lot of comparisons can be drawn between Mark Henry and Donkey Kong. I don't mean to offend anybody, especially Mr. Henry, because he'd rip my head off and shove it up my ass. But, a man that size with that much strength is a gorilla. So's Brock Lesnar.

I don't really know how to respond to this....I wasn't even saying that I was offended by the Eddie signs, I was just wondering (what, with all the JR bashing for one innocent comment) why more people havent noticed the signs that they focus in on, on Smackdown. I used Mark Henry as an EXAMPLE. I never said the dude was a "monkey". I said it to simply imply that such a sign would be on-par with the Eddie sign in terms of racism, just in MY opinion. I don't see where you can get pissed off at this one and try to insult me.....what did you want me to say for an explanation? "Mark Henry is black and therefore hops around like a monkey and eats bananas cause monkeys eat bananas and Mark Henry is a monkey". Are you happy now? I think we should kind of focus on the Eddie sign aspect of my post. That was the more important point.

The sad thing is that it actually took me a few seconds to catch the meaning of your bananas example. Had it been anybody else but Mark Henry, I probably would have got it right away, but seeing as how it was Mark Henry, a half dozen sexual insinuations flashed through my mind before I hit upon the inferred meaning. :-(
