It is a step up from the man who he learned how to avoid jobbing from, good ol' HBK. Remember, this is the man who has invented ways to avoid jobbing that no one could have imagined. Considering his stating back in '97 he would no longer job in his home country (which was only broken with the Austin job, a job where he was broken down and had no choice), he has followed that philosophy. Now, if he is coming back in a cage match, doesn't it make sense that he will go over, which will make him a darling of the net for going over Trip, Trip will look good because he jobbed the belt, and then HBK will forfeit the belt because he can't handle a champions schedule. Tourney will be held, one of the upper mid carders gets the belt, and Trip doesn't have to job to any of them. We may not like the Clique, but they generally have figured out how to make themselves look good no matter the situation. | Promote this thread! | | The 5th Horseman

Shawn was being sarcastic about not jobbing in his home country. He was taking a shot at Bret Hart, who didn't want to lose any matches, even his final WWF match, in his home country of Canada.
While I agree that Shawn's "lost my smile" excuse for forfeiting the title was WEAK, there is a difference between Shawn Michaels during his title reigns and HHH now. There's also a huge difference between HHH's long title reign's previously and his current one. The reason I have a problem with HHH right now isn't that he always wins. My problem is that he doesn't make his opponents look good while he wins. During HHH's long run as a main eventer before his quad injury, he almost always won but, he had great matches and made his opponents look good even when they were losing. That's why I, and I'm assuming others, have a problem with HHH's current run. | | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
