Chocobo's Dungeon 3.
(less tongue-in-cheek, I'd take Tactics 2 or Tobal 3 in a heartbeat)
Well, if we are talking ALL Squaresoft games, not just FF then
1)Tactics 2 2)Vagrant Story 2 3)A GOOD Secret of Mana sequel then 4)FF IV - 2 | drjayphd

Well, of course not. Answer this though, do you enjoy the plot more or the gameplay? FF5 had spectacular gameplay, what with the job system and all, but the story was like FF for dummies. Everything was by the numbers with few quirks at all (Don't get me wrong, I love stereotypical fantasy and I still play FF5 a lot). FF6, on the other hand, was like the FF version of Shakespeare. As for FF4, that just has a special place in my heart because it was the first RPG I had ever played with developed characters and I was just blown away back when I was about eight years old. Prior to that the only RPG I had played was FF1. Plus, after all these years, I still *heart* Rydia. :) | El Pescado

News to me. What platform, and what timeframe? I know that Tactics Advance is coming for the GBA, but I've heard nothing about an official sequel on a "full-sized" console.

When you mention a crappy Secret of Mana sequel, are you talking about Seiken Densetsu 3 or Legend of Mana? Because Legend of Mana was pretty sucky, but Seiken Densetsu 3 was AWESOME! Played the ROM, which is the only way you can get it in America translated, and I loved every minute. | drjayphd

Jobs for 5, storyline and gameplay for 6. Then again, 4 kinda reminds me of a glorified NES game. I've heard the story is amazing, but I just can't get into it that well. | Ana Ng

VII most needs a sequel, but I would happily settle for VII remade with spiffy graphics and voice acting. | Bongo P. Michinoku

VIII's graphics ruled, and the story was great (until you found out they all when to the orphanage). It was a little slow, and the battle and magic systems sucked, but overall it was fun. I dont know why you dislike IX. It's near the top of my list of favorite FF games. | TheCow
