As a Canadian, for the most part this war on terror has brought to my attention the weak state of our military and the poor leadership of Jean Poutine and the rest of the Federal Liberal party. I'm not as ignorent as some of my fellow Canadians, I know that terror can strike at us in any given moment. However, I guess it all doesn't truely sink in until it effects us on a personal level
I picked up a copy of the Ottawa Citizen today, and inside of it was an article that outlined details of not just one, but two plots to assasinate Pope John Paul II. As a practicing Catholic, you can probably guess that I wasn't too pleased to read it.
That article hit home the fact that indeed we are all effected by terror. I'm still not 100% sold on Iraq....but my stance on the War on Terror has eased up considerably.
To my neighbors in the south, keep up the solid work in tracking down Al Qaeda. I wish we could help out more, but as I said earlier, thanks to Jean Poutine we don't have much outside of moral support to give.
