Should be a rockin' induction ceremony . . . if they can get all of these guys to actually play.

AC/DC
Elvis Costello & the Attractions
The Clash
The Police

Should be good!! Of course, just another sign that I'm getting older in that bands that were hot when I was in the last few years of grade school are getting inducted into the HOF.

The RnR HOF is crap. Until Black Sabbath is admitted, it will always be a farce!

I understand your point, but I'd think you could use a better example than Ozzy Osbourne for something that demands respect, with the shape he's in now and what he's become and everything. Poor guy.

I didnt say OZZY, I was talking about BLACK SABBATH. A Band who made hard rock/heavy metal popular and influenced hundreds of bands.

Exactly - if there was no Sabbath, there would be no AC/DC.

The fact that there is no Lynyrd Skynyrd in the HOF is a JOKE. Freebird is the second most requested song ever. Tuesday's Gone, Simple Man, Freebird, Sweet Home Alabama, Don't Ask Me No Questions, Call Me The Breeze, Gimme Three Steps, also Skynyrd is the BEST hands down Ballad band ever, with Simple Man, Ballad of Curtis Lowe, and many many songs that don't get radio time but are incredibly good. They could do country, rock, blue grass, and still are an important band.

Is it okay if Bon Scott doesn't make it? I hear he's not available that day.

Yeah, it is a little scary. Then again, you do have to admit it's good to see them get their due. 'Specially the last three... while I respect and like some of AC/DC's songs, the Clash are up there in the Pantheon of Greatest Bands of All Fucking Space And Time, and Elvis Costello and the Police are just under that.

Word on the street says that Sting, Summers and Copeland are going to reunite for one night only for the induction ceremony. Hope a fight doesn't break out...they might have to call the police. BWA HA HA!

Heh, they were all big when I was in high school and college. I think Elvis Costello and the Clash were two of the most influential acts of the late 70s/early 80s and I own most of their stuff on vinyl. Vinyl, I tell ya.

How much longer til Sabbath gets inducted? In 2005, Ozzy himself will be eligible and it'd be really sad if he got in and Sabbath didn't.
