Now it's time to take stock of whatever the hell this year brought us. You can sum it up in one word, or several. I'll start by saying that wrestlingwise 2002 was really one of those years when I was promised the world, but got Cuba in return. Discuss.

The only thing that prevented me from giving it a "forgettable" is one word: Mattitude.
The best thing to happen in the WWE was Matt Hardy getting this wonderful character enhancement.

It seemed to me to be a year of spectacular highs and lows so low that one would have swim to the bottom of the Marianna Trench, only allowed one breath on the way down.
It's easier to remember the bad things, but there was some really great stuff this year. Summerslam was the best PPV since WM X-7. Angle took his game to a new level, and here I thought he couldn't get any better. Eddy shined the way we all knew he could. Bischoff has been pleasantly surprisingly amusing, given the material he's been working with. Rey Mysterio came onto the scene, and shockingly. the WWF/E *hasn't* completely misused him, like I know everyone was expecting, including me.
Triple H, however has done a lot to make this year pretty unpleasant. And I was one of the ones who was hesitant to condemn him. Really, I defended him for months, but as Owen Hart would say, enough is enough. And for a company that used to mock WCW for being "Wheel Chair Wrestling", this sure has been the year of the Old Man. Hogan and Undie have both held world titles. Shock tv has returned in full force, with "HLA", and necrophilia.
But I, for one, loved the way the Billy/Chuck wedding angle ended. And I'm a total Brock mark. On the other hand, Stephanie is still annoying the hell out of me, and Shane has only made one brief appearance.
Yeah, definitely unstable. | Ringmistress

The guy who came up with the shock storylines was definitely unstable, in more ways than one. Fortunately, I had some old WWF tapes to help calm my feelings toward them. I really wanted to dump them so bad after this year, but at the same time, I look back at what I've seen, and I just can't do it. Not yet. I'm going nuts because I was sure the murder thing would have me dump them for sure.
