But, tonight's ridiculous marriage proposal was painfully awful. Why are we having to watch this, HHH/Katie Vick is way more entertaining than this crap. | Promote this thread! | | Bongo P. Also, unlike the HHH/Vick angle, Al Wilson/Dawn Marie is a midcard segment, while the former was all over the main event scene for the better part of a month. | Quezzy

And Bongo is right, atleast this is midcard segment. Also it will do well to establish Dawn Marie's character if she is just using him to get at Torrie. I was actually hoping that she would act like she was going to say yes tonight then suddenly say no, and then make fun of Al in the ring. I think Dawn Marie is great addition to WWE, but her and Torrie both should be valets like they've finally done with Stacey. Torrie's not great at anything really, but you can put her with a babyface just to get pops. But Dawn Marie is a really talented heel valet, maybe put her with Matt Hardy. | joe-joe

I'll love the whole angle if it ends with Al getting totally stretcher-job-major-blade destroyed by someone. Strip him, cuff him to a steel cage ala Dreamer and have him say "thank you ma'am may I have another" after every time Dawn kicks him in the nads, with Simon Diamond holding Torrie and making her watch. And save it for PPV so we finally get something for our money.

Instead of the What Chant, I wish the crowd was more creative. If ever there was a time for a We Want Sting chant, that segment was it. This shouldn't be called a mid card feud either, more along the lines of 'Why are any of these people on the Payroll feud.' Side tangent, are all of these wedding angles Steph/Steph is pushing a subtle hint to someone? | Ringmistress

Yeah, Tazz and Michael Cole cracked me up the whole time. Whatever I was thinking during that whole thing, they said it. Especially Tazz, he know how to dull the pain. Oh, and whoever came up with the title of this thread, ARE YOU F'N SERIOUS?!?!?!?

And incidentally, I remember reading on 411 that yes, that is indeed Torrie Wilson's actual father in those segments. Which just goes to make it that much creepier. | chill

Tom Pritchard, who worked side-by-side with Les when WWE and HWA were associated up until this year, was ripping on the angle and on Thatcher for participating about two months ago on Byte This. It is NOT Torrie's real father. Anyone who saw Torrie's "Before they were superstars" segment on Confidential a long time ago will know this. | redsoxnation

No wonder these segments have an ICW feel to them. Maybe Jumping Joe Savoldi and Fabulous Phil Apollo can be ushers at the wedding. | Quezzy

Les Thatcher was on the MTV True Life: I'm a Wrestler documentary, and he looked NOTHING like Al Wilson. Furthermore, WWE.com had an article talking to Al Wilson, and they say that he is the real father of Torrie.
