I liked how Jack showed the head to those guys.

More Kim crap this week.

Pretty much a letdown from last week's great show.

The Kim stuff is getting ridiculous. Couldn't she have ran to the construction workers and screamed bloody murder or that the father was trying to rape her or do SOMETHING intelligent?

The rest of the show is awesome though. I loved Tony catching George scurrying out of CTU.

Because it's Kim? That sounds like a suitable explanation. It isn't like she has exercised good judgement at any point in either series.

Overall though, quite the mediocre entry this week. George's departure, the head and the ending cliffhanger were obvious highlights, but the rest seemed to define treading water.

I'm in agreement on the weak Kim plot. I actually care more about the whole wedding storyline and I don't even know the characters yet. If they're just using this to get Kim away from Jack, it's pretty weak.
Do we know what Nina's status is? Has her name even been mentioned this season?

I thought it was really good again. At least Kim is consistent with her stupidity. It surprised me that Palmer locked the press guy up. It didn't seem like something he would usually do.

At least we got to see Jack kick the crap out of that weasel making the bombs.

The previews for next week made it seem like Mason was actually going to do something, instead of just skipping town.

I am really sick of Kim's stuff. She did take after her father and beat up that guy with the tire iron. Who didn't see that little girl being gone after Kim left her? It was pretty obvious. I could do without Kim on the show, or at least less of her.

David Palmer is awesome.

24 kicked the living crap out of the bomb guy. That was great, he broke the guy's leg without even looking down to see what he was doing. And he was carrying that guy's head like a bowling ball. Well, I dunno, maybe that was a doctor's bag instead of a bowling ball bag. Or maybe he just has head bags made for him because it seems like this is the kind of thing he's done before.

I agree that the Kim stuff needs less focus when we could be watching the infinitely cooler actions of 24 or Palmer. If they kept the show with them while they respectively sat in traffic or at their desk reading papers, the odds would be greater that we'd see something cool happen. Her alley fight was kinda cool, so that's a plus, but it didn't quite live up to the standards of the greatest of all alley fights in They Live, which set the benchmark by which all other fights where someone swings at someone and breaks a car window instead will forever be judged.

Still, I think it's cool how Kim ended up babysitting the one kid in the world who appears to be more annoying and problematic than she is, and that only reconfirms my belief that Psycho Dad and the abused mom will buy it by the end of the day so Jack can take in the kid and raise her as a second incompetent, danger-prone daughter to get back the one Nina took away.

Speaking of Nina, looks like the fiancee who may or may not be a terrorist was last in Germany, and Nina was an Evil Secret German in the last episode of Day One, so I'm thinking we get a connection there.

See, it looked like my man George Mason was skipping out to save his ass. And he probably is. But those previews indicate that ol' George Mason is going to stumble on something important (which is to say something involving shooting) and get into a shootout at some glowing green gas factory. That's why I like George Mason, because once you think you have George Mason all figured out, well, you probably do, but that's when George Mason accidentally gets involved in entertaining stuff or chooses not to kill 24 that week. He's my third favorite character on the show.

Second favorite, of course, is President Palmer. Just two hours into his term, he does cool things like doing stand-up comedy for the press corps and calling in the ultra secret Blue Reporter Killing unit. "I think we're going to have to take care of this." That was the "Get me a hacksaw" of hour 2. I hope Palmer and 24 meet up and do back-to-back kung-fu against an army of terrorists or something cool this year.
