- Dunks of the night go to Desmond Mason and Caron Butler
- Amare Stoudimire and Drew Gooden are going to be big rookie contributors this year.
- I'm not sure that Dallas even runs an set offense. It's no more than two passes and the shot's going up. Not saying that's a bad thing with the talent they have though.
- Lots of 'international flava' in the league this year that can more than hold their own.
- Orlando should have a pretty special year...I like them a lot.
- I feel really bad for Allan Houston...He's a classy, underrated player in this league, on a really, really bad team.
- Everytime I flipped to the Rockets game, Steve Francis was shooting some off balance jumper or a wacky layup in traffic, while everyone else just stood around waiting for him to shoot.
- I'm not too sure about these people predicting a Wizards playoff appearance this year. I'll reserve judgement for a little further in the season though.
- I know I'm in the HUGE minority here, but I like Brent Musburger doing NBA games a lot.
- I'll take Googs and Grant Hill for my two early comeback players of the year (I know that's not really going out on a huge limb.)
- It doesn't get much more entertaining and high scoring then Memphis-Dallas. Hope to catch that one again this year. | Promote this thread! |             | Torchslasher

I was in heaven, getting to hear Marv Albert and then flipping over to the "not even trying to remain objective" Boston Celtic announcers. I mostly stayed on the Celtics/Bull game, because that Hassel guy on the Bulls went off on the Celtics at the end.
I also had fun watching Yao suck for the few minutes I saw him in the game. He is going to foul out every game (if he gets enough minutes).
How bad are the Heat? It was fun watching Hill and McGrady light them up. | chuckc14

My high school got to play them a couple of times, so I had the pleasure of seeing them play together. Hasell has a terrific all-around game. He was quite a pick up by the Bulls. | drjayphd

TS- I don't know if this is a nationwide thing, but my Comcast digital cable in NJ is giving us Oct 31 - Nov 5 for free. My roommate and I are currently deciding if the price is right. I love basketball and all, but 160 (that's after the 20 dollar rebate) for the season is a bit steep (for my bank account anyways).
