Which is the only logical explaination for why they would push Big Show instead of Edge, Eddie, Angle or Benoit. I also find it a bit annoying that the WWE feels the need to trade guys from Raw to fight Brock on Smackdown. Why not, just have him keep doing both shows, his fued with Taker made him almost disappear from the rest of the SD cast.
As for who Big Show was traded for, I'm praying that its Maven. The Tough Enough storyline does need Maven and maybe even one or two more kids from tough enough. If you have someone as useless Jackie Gada then use her as a valet like Nidia. If they have no wrestling talent then I say stick them in non-wrestling roles at least get something for them. That or get Hawk and Taylor and start a Tough Enough stable against Al for not picking them. For all the garbage that has been on Raw, this one of the few things that is golden, the other being Booker T/Goldust, Trish/Victoria and Jericho/Christian. Everyone else is being used wrong.

But if he got back to WCW era Giant form, I think everyone would appreciate that.
Of course it looks fake, he's 7'2" 500 plus. He has to job for Spike fucking Dudley and everyone else on the roster for Christ sake, so the "reality" of WWE is completely comprimised. Even the regular John Q. Public-fan (the 20 or 30 still watching) won't buy Show bumping around for anybody except a Brock, Austin or Rock. They've destroyed the credibility of the Big Show due to their inability to put him into any kind of meaningful scenario. Nobody sits around saying, "Gee, at 7'2', I think he's a little heavy at 525 lbs." He's a giant! Give him an agenda that has nothing to do with the title and let him kick ass. I don't want to see him bumping for Chuck Palumbo. | redsoxnation

Which is a good thing, because it doesn't bring down the overall wrestling ability of Smackdown at all (I think Show's better than Rikishi, myself. At least Show's big enough to be impressive just on that merit.), plus it has the potential to give Rikishi something interesting to do and to build a real fued for The Island Boyz.
EDIT: In fact, going with the "Elimination Chamber = War Games" theory, how about RVD, Booker T, Goldust, Kane and Rikishi taking on HHH, Flair, The Island Boyz and Rico, with Rikishi turning midway through the match and joining his relatives.

Looks like instead we'll be getting Rikishi vs Big Slug on SD this week. At least now I know which point of the show I can concentrate on Celtics/Wizards during. | drjayphd

Not like there isn't precedent... anyone remember the Demon's contract? They could always pull a "Special Main Event" and put it second on the card. | HrdCoreJoe

I suppose its only a matter of time before he/she/they are revealed but toss me into the "Waiting to find out" group. | DVD

| #27 Posted on 28.10.02 2305.58 Reposted on: 28.10.09 2326.40 | Well, after watching Raw, Bischoff said it was more than one Smackdown talent. My guess? The Cruiserweight division. Yep, the entire division. He aluded to the fact that the best ideas came from Monday night as well. So Noble, Tajiri, Kidman and a few others jump to Raw and give the CW division a home on Monday nights again. But leave Rey on Smackdown. He just works way too well. Mind you, I don't *want* the WWE to do this, but I think that's where they're going. | The Sham

| #28 Posted on 28.10.02 2338.19 Reposted on: 28.10.09 2347.30 | So... Raw already has three more active (not injured) wrestlers than Smackdown (factoring in Big Show's move) and now they're going to gain as many more as Smackdown loses? I think an uneven trade needs to be made BACK to Smackdown to get some parity in the SIZE of the rosters at least. Of course, if we measure TALENT, Raw might not have the advantage... oh well. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
