| #1 Posted on 18.10.02 2331.26 Reposted on: 18.10.09 2343.27 | So I bought a Gamecube and Animal Crossing yesterday, with a sweet, sweet discount on both (and a nice discount on my link cable too, bought that today).
So, I named my town Ogden, a tribute to The Simpsons, I wanted to call it OgdenVille, but it wouldn't fit. Then I named myself Smeghead, a tribute of course to Red Dwarf. Got acquainted with my wankerous townsfolk (two cats, a mouse, a bear, an owl and a lion. the cats and mouse are chicks), got fruit and items and stuff, thanks to them I have 3 pear trees and a peach tree planted. Went aroudn digging, found a bag o' bells, got it planted for a tree, also got three fossils that I just sent off to get id'd.
Today, I went to the Isle of Nilbog (a tribute to Troll II), where I gots coconuts. When my new fruit trees ripen, i'll plant more here, 'cause it's summer all the time in Nilbog. I took a cocoanut home and planted it too. Sent a few letters to people with crappy stuff I didn't want. The coolest peice of furniture I got is either a Shogi Piece (from that bird dude who washes up on shore) or a STEEL CHAIR~!
And just then, I planted a shovel for a golden shovel tree. I want me a golden shovel. On my memory card I had Donkey Kong and Golf. They suck. I want good games. I'll be re-buying Golf to trade with someone I know for either CluClu Land or Excitebike, I haven't decided yet. I sold my two games 'cause they sucked.
This is incredibly disjointed, I just bought a fishing rod and fishing is bloody hard to get the hang of. I've only caught red snappers, carp and sea bass so far though.
So, if anyone wants Oranges, Coconuts, Golf or Donkey kong (or even a folding chair), I can get it.
[edit] Oh yeah, also on the Animal Crossing card I got with my e-reader, was a song. K.K. Ska, I was saddened by this. And, uhhh... I forgot what else I was gonna say. shit.

Coelacanth's rule. Despite their value, I've kept one as a pet, myself.
I'm on the look-out for space-themed items. I've already got: lunar surface carpet, Lunar Lander, Spaceman Sam, Rocket, Space Shuttle, Space Station, Flying Saucer, Asteroid, and Satellite.
If anybody has anything else space-related, let me know. | Fuzzy Logic

In other news, my first golden shovel tree died, along with my first peach tree, my cocoanut tree, and 3 pear trees. Luckily, my apple tree is surviving. I have pear and peach trees on my island, hopefully they don't die too.

I plant mine behind the dump, behind the pond near Nook's, and near the Post Office, and none have died. Cut down existing trees in those areas if needed. Coconut tree wouldn't grow, I don't know if they're seasonal, or just won't grow on the mainland.
The 1st time I did the turnips, I bought them @ 79/each and sold them Monday for something like 300/each (only bought 50). The next week, I bought 150 @ 101/each. On Monday, Nook was buying @ 71/each, so I waited hoping the price would go up. The price kept going down all week, until I finally sold on Saturday @ 41/each. | OlFuzzyBastard

| #9 Posted on 21.10.09 1357.34 | This game wasn't properly online - you could "send" something to someone else, and the game would generate a password which you would then give to the other person who would then give the password to the store owner and it would lead to them getting the item. The password was generated somehow with both peoples names and towns encoded into it so you had to get it off of an individual rather than a base list on the Internet. | Alessandro

My brother got up early on Saturday morning to try and make some extra Bell to pay off old man Nook (it was raining) ... The sum'bitch caught SIX COELACANTHS!!!
I could hardly believe it when he showed me his inventory; at 15,000 Bell a pop, he cut his debt in half with only a few minutes' worth of fishing ... Ah, if it were only that easy in real life

For example, you can't mail someone a bee because you aren't allowed to mail anything living (or turnips). There's still ways to torment people with the mail - we've got this one bitchy koala named Yuka who we mail any garbage we pull out while fishing, until we realized that she just thinks she's really popular because she gets lots of presents. | Pool-Boy

Make sure you put it on display at the clothing shop. Once you do that, some townspeople will eventually wear it, too. Put the pattern on an umbrella there, too, and soon you'll see people w/ that design on an umbrella. |
