A leading independent wrestling website that shall remain nameless (but they're the source for Scott Keith reviews of Def Leppard DVDs in which he knowingly refers to them as "Def Lep") has once again committed one of my personal most reviled infractions by posting this:

-WWE.com, known for constantly making major errors, had a graphic up on the main page of their website advertising RAW's airing tonight at 10/9 CT. RAW, of course, starts at 9 ET, not CT. The graphic was up all weekend and was finally fixed this morning.

"Known for constantly making major errors." I love that. As if they -- or any wrestling site -- don't make more mistakes in a week than WWE.com has made in its entire existence. Very fewer things make my blood boil than that kind of holier-than-thou, shame-on-you attitude displayed by people who have zero right espousing said attitude.

Also, a stupid fucking graphic with the start time of a regularly scheduled show one hour off is not a "major error."

"A leading independent wrestling website that shall remain nameless"...

You must mean 1wrestling.com! That's where the story came from (according to the CREDIT) and we all know those guys ARE holier-than-thou!

Curse you for making me go to 1wrestling to check that! What a miserable experience. Very disturbing: A former employer of mine had one of the 15 or 16 pop-up ads. I thought they were above that. Just a little above, but above nonetheless.

Anyway, it would appear that 1wrestling's attitude was even worse, and even more ironic considering they called it an "'only on WWE.com' moment," but you guys still didn't have to preserve it! I'm not saying don't crib their news -- that's why I read you! But sheesh. What's next, news items about the incredible coolness of Tommy Fierro's latest fantasy-booking brilliance?

Curse me and my abbreviations! I should have known people such as yourself would get confused if I didn't type out "Def Leppard" 100 times.

Duly noted for next time.

What a disaster this could turn out to be. Just think of the thousands of "new" viewers that flock to the tv each week to see Raw for the first time after learning of this exciting show by visiting WWE.com.

I have some other abbreviations you can use.

The Big Show has S.H. (Super Hearing)
Chris Benoit has L.C.O.O.H.E. (Lasers Coming Out Of His Eyes)
Tommy Dreamer has B.T.C.F.W. (Breath That Can Freeze Water)
John Cena is P.A.T.C.O. (Powerless Against The Color Orange)
Lita has a M.L.T.F.O.P.T.T.T.T. (Magic Lasso That Forces Other People To Tell The Truth)

Still, WWE.com is a major website, and bigger than any other wrestling website. They shouldn't be making many errors.

C'mon, Flexy. Cut 'em a little slack. So somebody found ONE typo on a HUGE site like wwe.com, whoopty-damn-doo. It's not like they accidentially posted Linda McMahon's social security number or gave away storylines for the next 6 months or anything (Insert joke relating to WWE never booking in advance here).

Besides, the way 1Wrestling points this stuff out like they're trying to say "HERE is why WWE is going down the tubes!" is beyond silly anyway.

Trash.

Don't like popups? Disable Javascript. Or use a decent browser that allows you to keep Javascript but disable such undesirable behaviour. Like Mozilla or (I think) Opera.

What's even better is the fact that someone called WWE.com a "major website." Yes, they are quite a professional operation.

You should've just called it "CRAP". Easy to say, easy to write, and most of all, very true.

Yes, a major wrestling website. Bigger than all the other ones, that's for sure.

Keith, copy/pasting a name/word you'd be using a lot would save you oddles of time I'm sure.

As for 1wrestling, they're the LAST group who should be criticizing how a website is being run. Especially Bob "I hate the WWE because i had a cushy job with WCW and they drove them out of business" Ryder.

Spoken like a true non-typist, I'm guessing.

I abbreviate it to "Def Lep" as a stylistic choice. Stopping to hit CTRL-V in the middle of a sentence would slow me down much more than adding an extra four keystrokes here and there.

Not that this discussion is relevant to ANYTHING...

I have this same issue with my java instructor. He preaches copying and pasting to save time, but I'm adament that I can type System.out.println("yada yada yada"); much faster than I can copy it from another file or from within the file and then change little pieces of it to make it fit. When you're used to typing all the time and typing fast, anything like that to get you off your rhythm just slows you down and frustrates you.

Well, copying and pasting can be useful for when you need to re-use one big long string o' text a lot within a single thingy. Then, you can work it into you rythm. But, generally, copy/paste within a body of work is a waste of tyme and buggers up your rythm like a skipping record.

You're guessing wrong Keith. Typing is rampent in Post Production. I happen to find copy/pasting saves time more often then not, and clients tend to like that.
