He's still an idiot....but here's a thought to stew over.

"Fantastic doctrines (like Christianity or Islam or Marxism) require unanimity of belief. One dissenter casts doubt on the creed of millions. Thus the fear and the hate; thus the torture chamber, the iron stake, the gallows, the labor camp, the psychiatric ward."
- Edward Abbey

But he's still an idiot. Falwell is just a rich christian who happens to get his ugly mug on television and put most of the rest of Christianity in a bad bad light.

Love the Edward Abbey quote!

Fundamentalism in its' pure form allows for nothing but strict adherance to (fill in the blank) belief.

Drums of war are resonating louder...nice to see at least 2 Sunni leaders (Egypt and Iran) accepted his apology.

Fundamentalism in its pure form allows for nothing but strict adherance to anti-fundamentalism belief.

DMC, well written, and well said. Agreed 100% in all your posts (I'd add more but I'm at work right now).

"When one says there is no absolute truth, is that not an absolute statement believed to be true?"
