I was just wondering if anyone else saw Bloody Sunday last night on ITV., as it was one of the best British made films I've seen in yonks beig both power and emotive. and seemed well deserving of its World Cinema Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival.

I don't don't know if it'll get a cinema release in the USA?Canada, but if it does I thoroughly recommend you go and see it. It's a very well handled and moving view on the events of Bloody Sunday in Derry in 1972, and the casting is superb, with James Nesbitt in fine fettle as Ivan Cooper the Irish MP/Civil Rights Activist trying to lead the Catholic protest and Tim Piggott-Smith as the paras leader. The direction/camera work was just great, and it may nto be 100% accurate in factual depiction, but is does very well in offering an insight into a turning point in recent British history.

Ian

Sorry if this souinds a bit like like the filmakers' press release but i found it to be the best film I've seen in ages.
