An employee of the Florida Marlins was allegedly asked to place a padlocked bag containing a pound of marijuana aboard the team's charter flight from Montreal, club officials said Sunday.
When Marlins video co-ordinator Cullen McRae and team equipment manager John Silverman opened the bag in Montreal, they found the marijuana and turned it over to police, Silverman said.

Carlos Luis Perez, a bullpen catcher with the Montreal Expos, was arrested Friday on charges of drug possession with intent to export. He pleaded not guilty and was given conditional release after posting a $5,000 bond.
Perez was fired by the Marlins earlier this year when former Expos owner Jeffrey Loria bought the team. Promote this thread! | | Grimis

It's true... it's damn true. When Ellis was with the Pirates, he no-hit the Padres while tripping on acid. Scary, scary. | drjayphd

Yes, but how can you not love a guy like him? I don't remember if he was still with the Bucs at the time or pitching against them (if he was with them, it was against the Reds), but he tried to hit the first six batters to show his teammates that they shouldn't be afraid. He plunked four, and it worked. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
