Probably the thing that's most likely to make me lose interest in a match (or a character altogether) is when my "willing suspension of disbelief" gets overly extended. Oddly its not a weird storyline or swerve that'll do that to me. What does it to me is usually in the technical details.

There are some of the guys who sometimes get very sloppy about their details. It's when my non-fan friends are moved to say "Oh, that's so FAKE.", & I have to agree. It's often a set of punches, or missed-but-sold kick, or whatever that looks really, really bad. I find it difficult to continue to care about matches when that's happening often. Sure, occasionally things go wrong, & I can absorb that just fine. What I'm talking about is the guys who consistently are sloppy about this stuff.

Does this bother anybody else, or am I just a figure skating judge at heart?

Well, I agree. A bad match is a bad match. One reason people like Eddy Guererro and Chris Benoit are so well liked is because when they do a move, it looks like it *hurts*.

A botched spot here and there is one thing, no one's perfect. But do it too much in one match, and it's just bad wrestling. .

For me, any soap opera storyline (like Linda in the Sanitarium) in the WWE (just because I HATE soap operas). Nobody calls them "sanitariums" anymore!
