I literally could NOT stop laughing after Funaki made his little speil after he lost the match "Remember, Funaki is still here to have fun" and then getting blasted between the ropes with a catapult. That was the funniest and most memorable moment in wrestling this week. The beggining promo of the match just added to it when he said, "You can't spell FUNAKI without FUN! F-U-N!"

Just thought I would share that with you. Geez, that was hilarious.

Everyone knows Funaki kicks ass.

He's Smackdown's #1 Announcer. He gives hard-hitting interviews from inside "ooman's locker loom!"

I'd like to have Funaki's children.

Ok...Not really, but the guy is absolutely charisma-rific.

Crash/Hurricane v. Knoble/Tajiri was good stuff, as was Orton/Kidman. In fact, the only match I didn't enjoy was Funaki/Albert, but the pre and post match made up for it. I'll have to start actually watching this show again...

I'm still boggled that Crash won a match. With his finisher and everything.

And matches like Orton/Kidman are the reason I wish that Randy Orton was where John Cena is now. Nothing against Cena really, but Orton works harder, takes wilder bumps, and isn't quite so vanilla in his offense.

Isn't Crash's finisher the Styles Clash? Who had that one first?

A.J. did. He was doing it when Crash was still using a bulldog finish.

But since Styles is stuck in little or less known promotions, Crash is the better known user of the finisher.

Surreal to hear Cole and Loyd say the same stuff about Raw that the 'netters have been saying(that HLA was a desperate ratings ploy, etc.). Also LOL at Cole saying that Eric had to have his greatest moment as Raw GM "on a show people actually WATCH"...

I missed Velocity, anyone mind reporting on the action? I wish I hadn't missed it, though. I got kinda' stuck watching 2001: A Space Oddysey and couldn't turn it off.

Damn, I actually wanted to see Crash WRESTLE! He's my favorite guy off of Heat for the last few months!

Man, there's a thread called "Funny Velocity Moment" and no-one's mentioned the "Shave Your Back" chant, Albert's befuddled reaction to it, and Funaki grabbing Albert's bodyhair to a huge pop? That was hilarious! Of course, I'm biased, since my wife and I started the chant. Yes, thank you very much...

I'm still shocked that Funaki's voice hasn't been dubbed yet like "Indeed."

Good gimmick, though.

A point that's been bugging me for a while:

How can Crash be in cruiserweight matches. he's a superheavyweight, for goodness sakes!

Funaki rules. No doubt about it.

I'm just waiting for someone to try and give him a back rake... and get their fingers tangled in his hair. Yeah, I know, I'm the only one.

I felt sorry for poor Albert. THAT would be more painful than a Ganso Bomb and a Burning Hammer. Off the apron. Through a barbwire board. And florescent lights. And it explodes when it hits it.

... maybe. ;)
