I am also looking to see if the Best of Wrestlemania DVD contains full lenght matches or is it just it clipped together matches? Plus, I'm curious if anyone knows if these PPVs are coming to DVD anytime soon?

Anything for the 1998 stretch minus Rock Bottom and Unforgiven?

I managed to find Wrestlemania X-7 there (still missing Beniot vs Angle Ultimate Submission and 2/3 falls match though).
I'm fairly certian that all the 2000 ones you mentioned are on VHS.

Some of the Blockbusters do have them to own on VHS.

| #5 Posted on 8.9.02 1144.49 Reposted on: 8.9.09 1159.02 | Considering the WWE didn't even bother getting the rights to "Cocky" to put it on the Rumble DVD, and have been replacing Edge and Undertaker's themes with generic or previous music on nearly all DVDs (except WrestleMania X-8) and even replaced the nWo and Hardyz themes on more recent DVDs, I doubt we'll see the Lonely Road montage on a DVD anytime soon.
If you're looking for the WWE DVDs, I'd check Suncoast, Sam Goody and Best Buy. At least here in Spokane, Suncoast seems to get all the DVDs right on time. Best Buy seems to get them slightly later than Suncoast, but usually at better prices. Both have a pretty good selection of most of the DVDs.
The Best of WrestleMania and Best of Survivor Series DVDs are nothing more than the cheap 60-minute comp tapes the WWE/F put together, transferred to DVD. I haven't seen a single "Attitude Collection" DVD that they even bothered splitting into chapters - it's just one chapter, fastforwarding be damned.

Does anyone know what this is? It apparently looks like a Triple H comp, but "The Game" DVD just came out about two months ago. The weird thing is that I couldn't find any information on it on the net. What has happened in the past two months to justify another Triple H DVD? | Mr Heel II

This one seems to focus more on his ability pre injury as "The Game" focused on the injury/post-injury activity. It's pretty much worth it for a couple reasons: Stone Cold/HHH 2 out of 3 falls, HHH/Jericho Last Man Standing.

| #11 Posted on 9.9.02 0745.28 Reposted on: 9.9.09 0745.33 | Thanks guys, I didn't realize the music for some of the wrestlers was being dubbed. I noticed My Scarifice was replaced in the Survivor Series 2001 DVD with canned music. I have most of the DVDs out there minus a few, because I thought the show sucked.
So, I won't be buying the Wrestlemania DVD and I am a loss for words on why the WWE doesn't have Lonely Road of Faith in any DVD, it should start and finish every DVD. Hey, why does HHH get another DVD comp. while Flair, Jericho and Benoit haven't gotten their DVD props yet. Better yet, why is this getting released when 2/3 of the 1998, 99 and 2000 DVD PPVs haven't been released yet. I mean King of the Ring '98, Backlash 2000, Wrestlemania 14, Royal Rumble '98 and Survivor Series '99 all have great stand out matches and history making material yet HHH gets another lame video reminding us how great he is.

| #13 Posted on 9.9.02 0911.56 Reposted on: 9.9.09 0922.41 | HHH Getting Another DVD = Having more usable footage of him.
Honestly, Flair, Jericho and Benoit have been in the WWE for 6 months, 3 and 2 years respectively. In that time Benoit missed several months due to injury. Sure as hell, they've got tons more WCW footage that they could use, especially for Flair, but honestly, how big of a stir would it cause for the public at large?
Flair, I agree, is long overdue in having a recap of his run at the top done. I'd hope that something was being done ala Hogan to move that along, but I'm not holding my breath, because the WCW history is (to light WWE fans and to the WWE itself) pretty mediocre for Flair's entire run at the top, whereas Hogan was a huge draw not only in arenas but for TV and PPV as well. The only time that WWE will admit to WCW being a bigger draw then they are (which is pretty much true) is '97-'99 when Goldberg and Hogan were on top and Flair was out. Jericho is the most logical of the three, but the DVD would come out looking like the "Best of the Comedic Stylings of Chris Jericho" (and there's an Anti-Jericho rant there, but I'll save it). Does it make for good viewing material? Yeah. Hey, I bet one is even in the works, but then again, it'd be hard to pull together 3-4 hours of Jericho footage from WWE OR WCW that doesn't make him look terrible because he's jobbing or playing a chickenshit heel (which makes for good TV, but it makes for good TV because it's ANNOYING, it doesn't work when there's really no face to combat it). Benoit is another story altogether. I know he's the internet's darling, but he won't sell any DVDs except to people like us. He's got a ton of WCW footage and a wee bit of WWE footage worth putting out there, but I don't imagine it selling much better than a "Best of Crash Holly" collection. The WWE wants to make money remember, and a HHH collection would likely outsell any of the afformentioned sets.
Hunter has more material that is official WWE (licenced, read: likely to be remembered by the current viewing audience). Thus they can get a quick pop of cash for two DVDs a few months apart containing some different footage, and more power to them. Hell...Austin had, like, 7 DVD/Videos right? | A Fan

| #14 Posted on 9.9.02 0931.40 Reposted on: 9.9.09 0932.57 | To counter your claim that Benoit, Flair and Jericho are not box office. I would like to point out the huge fan following from WCW to WWE. When Jericho first made his apperance, the live crowd ate it up. Benoit and the Radicals attacked, the place went nuts, I know I was there. Flair walks out to every place he goes and he gets a standing O. Now, granted Flair is the only where I would say some of his matches in the WWE have been bad.
Benoit and Jericho have a had ton of great matches in their WWE runs, I'd say there is about ten great matches for both men in their WWE run, so there's disc 1 right there.
A Fan- I know Austin had a ton of DVDs and so does Rock, but that doesn't mean they came up three to four months after each other. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
