Well, almost. In a few weeks. Regardless, what are your fondest memories from the nation's high school newspaper? Mine is from about 2 years ago, when a front page story (below the fold, but with a graph, thankfully) revealed this shocker: Kids don't like to clean their rooms.

Actually, after writing for a national-award winning H.S. paper (we won a Pacemaker two straight years, which is the highest award a HS publication can receive) for three years, I honestly think we put together a better paper than the USA Today. Obviously, we didn't have the national news they did, but in terms of writing quality and creative design, I think we had them beat.

I think anybody with half a brain and the time and dedication to put it together can do a better job than USA Today(not a smack at the ability of your HS paper, just a reflection about the piss-poor quality of McPaper).

The only saving grace about it was that the international version kept me up on baseball while I was in Germany for a month back in the day.

Hey, I used to read USA Today religiously - cover to cover every single day. Of course, I was in the 6th grade at the time.

Their auto racing section is to die for, despite all the faults of the paper as a whole.
