| #4 Posted on 29.8.02 1930.06 Reposted on: 29.8.09 1946.24 | It is pretty hard to come up with new ideas 52 times a year. Lets look at the common segments that Confidential has had. 1. WWE cribs. Obviously short lived. There is only so many wrestlers who have cool houses out there. 2. BTWS. Only so many wrestlers again. 3. Talking about great matches of the past. Only so many great matches. 4. WCW bashing. Well, that will last forever. Hell, Black Scorpion should be good for 2 seasons alone. 5. Backstage things. Hard to keep fresh and new. How many ways is there to show wrestlers stretching or the ring being set up? What the WWE could do is a where are they now. Of course most of their ex talent hates them and or is former jobbers but it would be nice to see what Superfly or someone else is up too. | eviljonhunt81

I have an FMW show from about a year ago with Superfly and his son vs. some guys. It was painful. | The Sham

| #6 Posted on 29.8.02 2356.09 Reposted on: 29.8.09 2357.51 | The WWE says that they run repeats in order to give the production staff some time off for holidays. The production staff still prepares Raw, Heat, Smackdown, Velocity, Bottom Line and After Burn, but on holiday weekends, they don't have to work the extra hours it takes to put together a Confidential. Not much of a hiatus for a staff whose first-run programming airs 52 weeks a years-- give them a break. | Dahak

| #7 Posted on 31.8.02 1440.42 Reposted on: 31.8.09 1443.01 | I don't really want to see the old guys wrestle. Hogan and Flair are enough. But to show what they did with their lives after they left pro wrestling would be interesting. But the WWE will NEVER do that because it would be interesting in a train wreck sort of way. Stories of crippled up wrestlers. Wrestlers who are dying because of steroid uses. Wrestlers who HATE Vince. Wrestlers shooting up or in jail. I am not saying that all former wrestlers go on to have horrible lives but certainly a lot do. And for it to work your average fan would at least be able to recogonize their name. Since wrestling isn't a real sport a lot of wrestlers stay too long and Vince had to end up cutting or jobbing them out. Plus how interesting would a story where nothing bad happened be? A "Yeah I really like wrestling then and now" interview would suck. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
