| #1 Posted on 26.8.02 0719.19 Reposted on: 26.8.09 0721.04 | Lawler calls the Un-Americans "From Canada, where the start of Moose Season is a national holiday". For the record, that isn't true.
Yeah, Lawler is confusing Alberta with Canada. Cause Alberta is the province with the REALLY wacky holidays.
Lesnar is the youngest WWE Champion in history, the FASTEST champion in history, I think (did anybody ever beat five months?)
Didn't Bruno Sammartino win the (W)WWF title in his first ever match in Madison Square Garden? I know that he had been wrestling in Toronto prior to the victory and the dry run for his win over Buddy Rogers was in Toronto.
If I remember correctly, Taker debuted at Survivor Series 90, and beat Hogan for the title exactly a year later at Survivor Series 91, but that was in the era of only four PPV's per year. So if you count PPV's, Taker won in his fifth PPV.
The two others that spring to mind are Benoit and Jericho's wins that were screw-jobbed away. I don't remember how quickly those were to their debuts though. | Promote this thread! | | redsoxnation

| #2 Posted on 26.8.02 0911.24 Reposted on: 26.8.09 0912.08 | If the question is who was fastest to the world title after entering the WWF territory it would be Hogan (Not counting the Sammartino reign). He arrived in late 83, had the world title in 84. Flair's arrival in the WWF in August of 91 would have him winning the World title in approximately the same amount of time as Lesnar. If the question is quickest to WWF/E World Title after pro debut, Lesnar appears to have achieved it first, surpassing the pace of Kurt Angle. | Llakor

I was deliberately NOT counting Hogan because Hogan had been in the (W)WWF prior to his win as a heel feuding with Andre the Giant before going to the AWA and coming back to the (W)WWF as a face. This is conveniently ignored by the (W)WWF, but it still happened. | BrewGuy

Taker's first title was the world title. I believe Hogan's first title was the world title. Big Slow's first title was the WCW World Title. | pieman

Yep, I got a good laugh out of it...but that's probably because I hate Test with the same amount of passion BrewGuy likes him with. | WyldeWolf1

Kane is the most recent one I remember. He had a one-night reign after Taker lowered a cage on Austin's head to bust him open in a first-blood match. He didn't want his little brother to set himself on fire, remember?
I don't recall Kane touching any gold before that. Maybe I'm forgetting a tag title reign...with Mankind maybe? I know he didn't get IC gold until later. | EddieBurkett
