So, today my phone had some issues. Chiefly the keyboard letters were rearranged. Secondly, my spell check (haha, yes, I do have one) had no 'normal' words in it. Typing something as simple as YES auto corrected to some strange Russian (I think) word.

I checked my settings and everything is how it should be. I downloaded and ran malwarebytes and two different anti virus programs, both came up clean.

Anybody experience this before?

I'm just going to do a reset on the phone, as I do not have that many things saved on it, but for future reference, anybody know what it MIGHT be that's causing this?

It's possible to add multiple keyboards or change the language on phones; maybe something trigger that on your phone?

Check Settings->Language and Input (may be called something slightly different on yours.) Check to see if the Default Keyboard has been changed to something strange.

After you choose your keyboard, click on the gear/settings icon next to it, and check the language there too.

What model phone is it? I know that Lollipop is being pushed to some phones now, and an unexpected upgrade can wreak havoc with personal settings.

l running android version 4.4.2

All the keyboard setting were as they should be.

Did a factory reset and everything (predictably) is back to "normal".
