One of the local zines interviewed me via email last month, and have finally published it online. I probably would alter some of my answers if I were doing it again THIS week, but the main "scoop" is something I know a lot of you have been waiting for me to say. ;-)

Check it out at Stubble Magazine (stubblemag.com) or wait for me to Facebook it up when I'm home tonight.

I have several candidate questionnaires to come and this morning I taped an interview with the community radio station - all of it will end up on the Facebook page for sure, and I'm sure I'll link to some of them here to keep you interested as well.

But really, go hit that "Facebook" page (facebook.com). While you're there, please use your powers of "Like" and "Share" if/as you see fit.

Quick - have them fix this quote:

the concept of a very minimalist government which stayed out of the way and left folks alone with their liberty so long as they were harming others really appealed to me

Unless, ya know, you meant it that way.

My candidate interview was broadcast earlier this week (I think) on our community radio station, KFAI:

http://kfai.org/news/2013/09/38665 (6:49)

This was all that survived editing out of a 20-30 minute interview - I was originally worried I'd have some trouble speaking off the cuff, but I think I only audibly lost my train of thought, like, once or twice. Not sure if folks will know when I'm funnin', and taking a lot of what I said seriously probably won't do me any favours. ;-)

Hey, some Libertarian dude had me on his podcast to talk about my campaign, my party affiliation, and if the two have much of anything to do with each other! There's also a lot of stuff that won't be of interest to almost anybody outside Minneapolis - and maybe not even them - but I know you love all my insider stuff, right? So click over here:

http://lionsofliberty.com/2013/10/01/lions-of-liberty-podcast-ep-4-crz-for-mayor/

It says it's 56 minutes, but I'm only in the first 40 if you're one of those jerks who sneaks out early.

If you ACTUALLY listen to this....well, I'll be shocked, but please let me know what you thought.

And the last of my 34 opponent profiles has been posted to the Facebook page! It's a bit like my old California gubernatorial recall project except this time I finished. If you haven't already, please head over to http://facebook.com/CRZforMayor and slap that Like button for me. (If I were really smart, I'd just put a button here for you to press but I'm not feeling that smart given that it's almost 5 in the morning.)

Also, if you don't want to talk there, we can talk here or on Twitter or practically anywhere. We're just under three weeks to Election Day!

Hey, the ballot's not in alphabetical order! I would have thought you'd get a little extra oomph for being listed last!

The order is randomized, and then they start with a different name for each of our 117 precincts with an attempt to give each name the same percentage of the populace. I DO have the longest name on the ballot, even longer than the folks with nicknames listed. I'm also the only guy between two women!

Local Energy/Food   TROY BENJEGERDES 148 0.19%
Independent    NEAL BAXTER 145 0.18%
Democratic-Farmer-Labor    GREGG A. IVERSON 144 0.18%
End Homelessness Now     JOSHUA REA 108 0.14%
Jobs & Justice     MERRILL ANDERSON 108 0.14%
Last Minneapolis Mayor   BILL KAHN 97 0.12%

Demand Transit Revolution    BOB "AGAIN" CARNEY JR 56 0.07%
Police Reform   CYD GORMAN 39 0.05%
Lauraist Communist     JOHN CHARLES WILSON 37 0.05%
Undeclared Write-In     ALL WRITE-IN** 117 0.15%

If I understand the rules correctly (and it's entirely possible that I don't), they can only eliminate Wilson (EDIT: and all the undeclared write-ins...which is all 117 of them) tonight, because theoretically it's possible for Gorman to pick up enough votes to pass Carney. (EDIT: Actually, I'm not even totally sure if they can eliminate Wilson because the write-ins should go first.)

I also received 435 (0.63%) #2 rankings and 422 (0.69%) #3 rankings. That's a total of 1027 votes amongst all rankings - not too shabby! About 1/30th of what I was aiming for to win... but it's only my first major race. ;-)

(EDIT 2: I should add that 1027 votes won't get me higher than 8th [and there's very little chance of me even getting that high] so I did tweet a concession.)

Elections has some additional stats:
TOTAL BALLOTS CAST 80101
Maximum possible threshold 40051
overvotes 93
undervotes 834

It's not entirely impossible Hodges won't get over 40K, but we may get down to 3-4 candidates before it happens. And if it DOESN'T happen, we'll have to eliminate 33 candidates. Mark Andrew probably could have waited for his quasi-concession until tomorrow.
