I trust that you all were He-Man freaks in the early 80s and I won't have to go into great detail describing the fun we all had with the Evil Horde Slime Pit playset. Nothing ever compared to this damned toy, ever. I wish I still had it. Well, anyway, I was at Toys R Us the other night and what do I see? They have remade the Slime Pit as....
A HARRY POTTER TOY
The front of the box shows the same familiar dinosaur skull puking the same old green slime NOT ON MOSS MAN, but on HARRY F'IN POTTER.
I'm all for giving this toy to a new generation of kids, but couldn't they have released it in the new He-Man line? AAHHHH | Promote this thread! | | ICEMAN

I used to have the Slime Pit and It kicked all kinds of ass.And I had about 15 of the figures but through the years they have been lost and possibly Hundreds of dollars too.
And also look out for the new cartoon debuting on Cartoon Network Aug.16th and watch out for a new Transformer series debuting about a week later.

Yeh! anyway, the reason for my excitement is just the other day my co-worker and I were discussing He-man. Can someone tell me the name of his cat? And where did he get the magic sword? Did he always keep it with him? Or did he have to go get it? I forget so much about that show. We were also discussing thundercats, but let's leave that for a future thread.
I'm actually surprised they brought back a slime based toy in this modern "PC let's protect the kids from anything dangerous age" Slime is awesome. Remember the slime that had the worms in it? Great stuff. On an unrelated toy topic, does anyone remember, or better yet own, that old fake bat named Gregor? his chest was clear plastic and you could see all his internal blood. prett cool. | OlFuzzyBastard

Oh, and He-Man's cat was named Cringer before the transformation and had the always original Masters of the Universe name of Battle Cat afterwards.
They never explained his origin, so far as I know. I know that's going to be the plot of the new Cartoon Network movie, though... | Scott Summets

I just went through by old toys, even though my old Transformers and GI Joes aren't in good condition, my old HeMan toys are... guess they were more durable. I have most of them and most of the vechiles, and the playsets, and I have all the comics. Damn these toys rock, Man of Arms, He-Man, Skeletor, all the old classics. Does anyone else have the catapult toy? I remember shooting my friends with that all the time. He-Man rocked. | ICEMAN

| #8 Posted on 1.8.02 1736.00 Reposted on: 1.8.09 1759.01 | Oh, lord. He-Man being recycled as Harry Potter. That borders on blasphemy, IMHO. I had the Slime Pit, Castle Greyskull, The evil base unit that had that microphone that made your voice all creepy, and that huge city-thing- I think it had some sort of track connecting it or something? Does anyone remember what those last two were called? It's bugging me. | Enojado Viento
