I got bogged down with things yesterday and wasn't able to watch the show, and now I'm posting from work. I won't be able to watch until later tonight, but that shouldn't stop people who have watched from discussing the show, so here's your thread!

Alberto Del Rio wasn't at Smackdown because he was "home tending to his friend Ricardo Rodriguez." Wait, what? The World Champion didn't come to work so he could stay at the bedside of his personal ring announcer, who has a broken ankle? Is he bringing him soup and adjusting the pillow his leg is resting on?

As far as distractions during a match go, there may be no distraction more distracting than Fandango's entrance causing a distraction.

I'm as much of a fan of "suspension of disbelief" as the next guy, but you're seriously telling me that no one noticed throughout that entire match that a giant, elaborate entrance was being set up at the top of the ramp? Jericho didn't look up once and think to himself, "Hmm...that's something you don't see everyday."

Are the Bellas to thank for Rhodes Scholars working together again? If they stay heels and Ziggler/Big E take the belts, who do The Scholars... wait, Daniel dated the Bellas (and Danielson legit dates one of them now). Oh. Well there's our tag feud.

Except ... if Big E and Ziggler win, who do THEY work against? Do you move up the Usos? Do the NAO get a title shot or two?

It is my extreme hope that Dolph realizes how stupid it is to fight Team Hell No at Mania for AJ, walks out when Big Z is in there and then in the middle of the show wakes up to the fact he has the Money Bank case, cashes it in as soon as Swagger wins. After he wins, he scream "Screw AJ, Big Z.....and you, America." Then walks out to a chorus of boos.

Dolph cashing in on Swagger would make him a face, however. Sets up a Dolph/Swagger/Del Rio match for Backlash and, having an American face opposite Swagger makes him more of a heel and would cut down on the embarrassing USA chants. Like, "Swagger, you're an embarrassment to the country, REAL Americans welcome everyone." Instant face heel for Mr. Ziggles.

Got to go back and watch the show, so here's some thoughts.

Did anyone talk about this in the Raw thread? I'm not a fan of the remixed Alberto Del Rio theme song. Change is scary.

Nice to have JBL back, of course!

AJ: "I'm going to have that man's babies. And they're going to have hair, and abs, and.."

Not sure what the point of having Miz beat Cesaro is if Miz is just going to mouth off at Wade Barrett afterwards. Shouldn't Miz be looking for a US Title shot if he beats Cesaro? Is there going to be some kind of multi-title match at Wrestlemania?

And in the "steal each other's moves" competition, Big Show came out as the winner. Sorry Sheamus, but your Shh Chop just doesn't cut it!

It would be kinda funny if Fandango just dragged this refusing to wrestle thing out week after week- including at Wrestlemania. It could flop but it could have the fans dying to see him get his ass beat by somebody. Honky Tonk Man heat.

*scratches head in confusion*

So, two weeks ago when Fandango ducked out of a match with Justin Gabriel (because Lilian Garcia couldn't pronounce his name), Booker T said that the next time Fandango's booked in a match, he'd damn well better compete.

Last week he failed to compete against The Great Khali, so where's the ramipercussions?

The Jericho/Swagger match was fantastic, even though the result was a foregone conclusion. No way Swagger loses on SmackDown if he's competing for the World Title at WrestleMania.

It was really kinda cute the way Orton, Sheamus and The Big Show briefly acted like 3MB was giving them a hard time. Hey, I'm all for putting Drew McIntyre in main events (though I miss "Broken Dreams"), but seriously-- Orton's had more world titles than 3MB combined have had pieces of ass.

Granted he was cannon fodder to Mark Henry (both during and after the match), but Zack Ryder isn't even worthy of getting an entrance nowadays? Aye, carumba.

If you notice, a lot of wrestlers haven't been getting entrances lately because WWE has been trying to speed up marathon tapings by having entrances take place during breaks so fans don't have to sit there with nothing to do so often.

They know Smackdown is taped, right? I can see the logic for Raw, but with a taped show, if you don't want people to sit through a break, don't have one.

You'd be shocked how much setting up is being done during the breaks. I think they change the mats twice or so in one night, they need to set up cameras and all that.

I think it was a decent Smackdown. Fandango distracting Jericho was hilarious because I had the same thought as It's False. But it did work out. His kick on the apron looked very smooth and dancer-ish And the way he looked when he stood on the turnbuckle. Damn he looked like a sleeze bag
My hopes for their matches have gone up.

The whole 'trust me' thing with Show/Orton/Show was somewhat amusing but I cannot care for them. I want the Shield to win, damnit.
A friend suggested something interesting though. This is going to give Orton the perfect opportunity to turn heel after WM.

AJ being the premise for the tag feud is hilarious. And it makes so much sense.

The Rock missed RAW for the second week, RAW being the home brand of the WWE Championship.

Alberto Del Rio missed Smackdown, the home brand of the World Heavyweight Championship.

Is this the first time the two World Champions didn't appear on their own shows in the same week on the Road to WrestleMania?

Randy Orton is so helpful and nice that the long-awaited Orton turn has to be brewing.

AJ was funny on commentary. It was odd to hear her talking conversationally as herself, a lady who likes Dolph Ziggler, instead of as her wycked succubus person.

All the Fandance lessons seem to have given ol' Curt some sweet agility. Last chance to get on board the Fandango fandwagon before he explodes.

If you notice, when AJ made the challenge for the tag titles, Dolph was behind her shaking his head going "ixnay on the atchmay, Ayay ayJay ...err yep, that match is on. look out, opponents." He seems like has grander ambitions for Wrestlemania. He can't walk out on the tag though, that would tip his hand.

Ha. The amnesia of a card shakeup. "After much frustration and adversity, I, Michael 'The' Mizanin, am angry, motivated, and determined to finally capture this title from Antonio Cesaro Wade Barrett."

I've been on since the start when he introduced "mind if I.....cut in?"

Set up dual champ Ziggler, maybe?
