Actually, that is not entirely fair. There has been a professional league in Holland since the 1920s, there has been an influx of players from Aruba, and the Netherlands Antilles, they've won the European baseball championships 28 (!) times, and they won something called the Baseball World Cup in 2011, but those are largely amateur (or, at least, non-MLB tournaments).
Well, now they've arrived, because out of two pools of teams that included Japan, South Korea, Cuba and Taiwan, it is Japan and Holland that have made it to the final four of the WBC.
