In 10 days, the Simpsons Season 2 DVD will be released. At the rate they're going, they will probably release one season a year.

On the other hand, other shows like Star Trek The Next Generation, Friends, and MASH, have had multiple seasons released at a faster pace than the Simpsons.

Would you prefer them releasing a season a year like the Simpsons, or would you prefer them releasing a season every few months?

Maybe I'm just biased towards the Simpsons, but I wish they would release more than one season in a year. At the rate they're going, it'll be at least 10 more years before all seasons are released.

There are episodes available on the net. I have Seasons 1-12 complete burnt on some cd-r's in DiVx format (which can be played through Media Player). It kicks ass, because I connect my PC to my TV.

If it's a short run (like Mr. Show or Upright Citizens Brigade), all in one box set. If it's the Simpsons, though, I'll take once a year, as long as they're really putting effort into it.

Speaking of which, why for is UCB not on DVD? I got all 30 eps in Divx, and it'd be nice to be able to play them on something other than my computer or Dreamcast.

Just saw on "Bring in the Clams" on Good Eats that *they've* got DVDs out. Sounds like an anniversary/Christmas present to me. :)

Oh, god, yes. I can't think of a better sitcom than that.

I wouldn't mind the complete run of Homicide, too (minus the last season).

I am picking up the first season of The Mary Tyler Moore Show on DVD, though. WOO

Convert it to VCD and you can play them on your DVD player.

I don't even know about that... the resident DVD player is a Toshiba SD-1600. Haven't heard much good news about that and VCD's. And it's not my DVD player, either... for the near future, my DVD player's gonna be the drive in my comp.

I read somewhere(probably The Digital Bits) that "Sports Night" was going to get the DVD treatment, which is good.I don't even think it'll cost that that much since they're weren't that many episodes.

And hopefully "Six Feet Under" will get it too.

And for Mr.Heel II:

"These are my night eyebrows"

If you get that reference you are a MST3K fan.

A&E is playing the episodes again. I'm taping them all. Plus, one of the posters over on thesmartmarks.com forum is hooking me up w/ episodes on cd-r.

Actually, the folks that do the MST3K digital archive project also have a bunch of Newsradio episodes available at their edonkey server.

http://www.dapcentral.org

There's also wrestling content there - Goldberg's appearance on DML, and the MSTing of a Santo movie.

Before we get the DVD releases of fan-favorites "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Roseanne," we better get a friggin' DVD of the best movie on Earth, "Roadhouse" and the complete set of "Miami Vice."

What they *need* to do is put out the second season of "Twin Peaks" - at least up until the episode where Agent Cooper finds out who killed Laura Palmer and Leland kills himself.
