It's got 90% bigger screens than the 3DS with no additional features, but the battery is said to last longer and it comes with a 4GB memory card - but, oddly, no power adapter. You have to buy one separately, which makes me think that they're really targeting this at people who would be upgrading from an existing DSi XL or a 3DS and could reuse their adapters.
The 3D screen on my 3DS is all scratched due to ridges around the bottom screen, and the 3DS XL appears to have smoothed those out, so I would consider one of these. Though I think I'd prefer the smaller form factor to the larger screen sizes. Maybe I should just look into getting my screen replaced.
As well, Nintendo is running a 3DS Virtual Console called 8-Bit Summer, with the following releases: • July 5: The Legend of Zelda (NES) • July 12: Kirby's Pinball Land (Game Boy) • July 12: The Sword of Hope 2 (Game Boy) • July 19: Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters (Game Boy) • July 19: Tumblepop (Game Boy) • July 26: Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3 (Game Boy) • tba: Sonic Blast (Game Gear) • tba: Sonic Labyrinth (Game Gear)
More news: • Professor Layton & The Miracle Mask is coming out for 3DS in November • Animal Crossing 3DS is out in Japan this fall • A demo of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is out now • New Super Mario Bros. 2 will have paid DLC "coin rush" stages • Super Mario Land (Game Boy) is on sale in the 3DS eShop for $2.99 for a limited time • Nintendo confirmed that a new Super Smash Bros. is under development for Wii U and 3DS Promote this thread! | | Oliver

I may pick up a 3DS XL. It looks decent. | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
