The fast food chain famous for the Whopper will introduce the limited-time dessert as part of its new summer menu on Thursday. The 510-calorie sundae--vanilla soft serve topped with fudge, caramel, bacon crumbles and a piece of bacon--has 18 grams of fat and 61 grams of sugar.

I'm there. Everything is better with bacon!

I remember having a shake that had bacon with it from a place called PYT in Philly. It just didn't work for me, and I think this will go along the same lines. I love bacon as much as the next guy, but I'll abstain from this dessert for the time being.

The B Spot in Cleveland has a Vanilla Bean Apple Pie Bacon Shake that is to die for. Especially delicious after a Fat Doug burger.

A Fat Doug Burger ? Now I finally have a reason to go to Cleveland.

I'm thinking of making some maple bacon ice cream this summer but I'll stay away from this Burger King experiment.

Denny's did a similar bacon sundae as part of their "Baconalia" menu a year or two ago.

Jack in the Box did a bacon milkshake earlier this year.

Some of the self-service fro-yo chains have started doing a 'bacon maple doughnut' flavor, which is inspired by bacon maple doughnuts, popular at some small local bakeries.

So far, none of these I've tried have turned into favorites, but I keep trying them, so they're getting me in the door.

Bacon and sugar... I don't get it.

Bacon is an amazing food. It is salty and fatty and has an unmistakably delicious flavor. But pairing it with sugary stuff nullifies its power almost completely. What a waste of cured pig meat.

Generally I don't think bacon and ice cream are a good mix, but I disagree with you as to if it mixes well with sugary items. Here's a simple one that I've tried that convinced me:

That site also has a maple/pepper bacon glaze recipe and many others worth trying.

Bacon doesn't need ice cream to carry it and ice cream doesn't need help either. This is the height of gluttony on this planet.

Well, I had one and...I liked it.

More than I thought I would.

But not enough to make it a must have item.

I'll have to see if it's available here in Canada. I'd have to try it for sh*ts and giggles.

Had one and it was delicious. Not so much to have two the same day, but I'll return

Nah, there is way more shit out there that will give you a heart attack just by thinking about it. Try Denny's

I'll pass. Doesn't sound appealing. Actually, I don't eat bacon that much anyway.
