Mike Wallace was an oldschool newsman as well as being entertaining, a showman, was one of the first to use crash tv, insightful, and he was a prick, but I loved watching him and 60 minutes hasn't ever quite felt right since he left. I'm just glad I never saw him and his cameramen coming my way. Click Here (

This is really freaky because I saw his bust in a display in Hollywood Studios in Disney World yesterday and we were remarking how he was really getting up there in years. One of the true greats and a favorite University of Michigan alum. He will be missed.

When I was a little kid, I remember my Dad watching a show with Mike Wallace. Wallace would be smoking and my Dad would always get pissed off at Wallace. But I don't think he ever missed it.

- Turns out this must have been the show Biography. I have no idea why my Dad would have been getting pissed at Wallace over this, but I guess I was only 6 or 7, so how would I have known. By the time 60 minutes came on, my Dad was slightly to the right, politically, of Atilla the Hun, so I think 60 minutes was too "lefty" for him. I think we watched Bonanza or Ed Sullivan against 60 Minutes.
