I like the base concept of "Fury trains Spider-Man to be a better superhero" (even though I hate the Iron Spider suit). I just don't like his voice, the humor, or the overall NOISENOISENOISESHOOTSHOOTSHOOTWHOOOOOAAAA nature of this trailer.
But was that JK Simmons as JJJ? That's cool. | It's False

Sure is! Probably the coolest part of the trailer.
It's not that this looks BAD, per se. The problem is that it has a tough act to follow. We just had an animated Spider-Man series a couple of years ago and it was damn good! Told great stories, had some terrific voice acting, and had fantastic character work. I never cared about Gwen Stacy and Tombstone as much as I did during that show. This new Spider-Man series is going to have to be some great stuff to top that.
And on that same note, Drake Bell is not doing it for me as Spidey. As unrealistic as the idea was, I wish they'd have brought back Josh Keaton. | Oliver

But Spectacular Spider-Man was probably the best translation of Spidey in ages. | dMp

Fury had asked the Ultimates to help train Peter. Who knows where this show will lead.

I kind of like the idea of screwup Spidey being trained by the Avengers. Iron Man trying to improve him with armor, Cap teaching him values, Thor teaching him to fight... | ALL ORIGINAL POSTS IN THIS THREAD ARE NOW AVAILABLE |
